What's great about it: when it worked it worked well
What's not so great: had to call 3 or 4 times, for problems with the spftware

Good, but not for Windows 10

I plan to use Turbo Tax for Business again next year. And I'm familiar enough with it that I zipped right through preparing the Trust's return.
However, it annoys me to no end to be thrown back to the desktop everytime TurboTax is switching from one main component to another. It seems like a memory issue, although TurboxTax is still running and hasn't lost any data. I'm using Win10.
What's great about it: Very helpful interview process
What's not so great: Dumps the user back to Win10 desktop frequently

Imports

It would make it so much easier, and way less stressful if you would adapt the Turbo Tax/Business to enable it to Import all Trust/Investment Documents directly from the Financial Firm!
What's not so great: Lack of Imports

As I tweak my quickbooks at year end and re-import, it adds various numbers instead of replacing them with new numbers. For example, retained earnings was x4 by the time I adjusted everything. They really want you to go to the on-line versions. So I guess I will since quickbooks is not supported very well any more.
What's great about it: Always accepted by the IRS
What's not so great: So so integration with desktop Quickbooks

2016 Fed Business NOT GOOD

First, the sub-application for printing a receipt when buying the state version does not work. Second, as in previous years, the whole process of printing and saving and filing is convoluted. You are not given an opportunity to see and review your return before you actually e-file. Then you either print too many or not enough of the files you need. I needed to file by mail in my state, but there's never an opportunity to print without going back through the work you've already done to find the print option. NOT GOOD. It's also a pain to be required to change your password for your account.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Printing

Greatest Tax Software Ever
on February 25, 2017

I have been using Turbo Tax software for over 15 years and love the way it guides me, but also allows me to switch over to forms if needed. The error check is awesome!
What's great about it: Ease of use

One problem that I encountered in both of my returns was that the "Bond Premium" showed 0 on my statement. Turbo Tax said it had to be more than 0. This discrepancy caused me to be unable to file electronically on one of my returns.
What's great about it: Transfered information from last year, easy to use
What's not so great: "Bond Premium" discrepancy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
