Almost great
on January 28, 2017

This is my 3rd year to use TurboTax for my businesses. Every year, it goes well, but I keep hoping Intuit will finally update the download software so it can automatically import QB Online data. I have everything in QB Online, so I am not going to invest in QB on my computer separately just for TurboTax.
What's great about it: ease of use, simple instructions
What's not so great: won't link data from QuickBooks online

Good, but no import from Quickbooks Online

What's great about it: Standard easy to use TurboTax user interface with great step-by-step instructions
What's not so great: Will only import data from Quickbooks DESKTOP software. We are out of luck this year, if you upgraded to QB Online.

Essential for S-Corp!
on January 30, 2017

As an S-Corp, we need all the features TurboTax has. Guided questions, helpful additional information boxes, easy navigation, all at a great price.
What's great about it: Guided questions, complete.
What's not so great: None for me.

Still has old issues

When doing balance sheet reconciliations for C Corps the form asks whether depreciation for books is the same as tax return. If you choose yes; it puts figures on balance sheet when it shouldn't therefore screwing up your reconciliations. I always have to manually go to forms and fix. Also, several questions forget the answer I gave and I have to re-answer when going back through. (auto mileage written record question and foreign entity stuff etc)
What's great about it: download from quickbooks
What's not so great: haven't fixed ineffieciencies

SHOULD BE SIMPLE

I THINK THE AMOUNT YOU CHARGE FOR THIS SOFTWARE AND THE STATE SOFTWARE IS EXTREMELY HIGH, ESPECIALLY SINCE EACH YEAR THE RETURNS ARE A ZERO AND I ONLY HAVE TO FILE IT FOR LEGAL REASONS.
What's great about it: INTUIT IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK
What's not so great: WAITING FOR STATE TO BE READY

Too many different products and upsells
on February 10, 2017

The actual tax software is pretty nice, but I don't like that i initially was quoted one price and then later find out that the initial price didn't include state. Turbo tax business also doesn't include your individual tax return. you need to pay another fee for that. then if you want audit protection thats another fee. then another fee for individual state. too many different prices
What's great about it: doing the tax return was fairly simple
What's not so great: There's too many upsells

Still the best!

I've been using TurboTax since it first came out, and I've used almost every version there is. When I elected for my growing LLC to be taxed as an S-Corp last year, of course I got TT Business to do my S-corp returns and K-1s, and I was not disappointed.
The interviews are clear and easy to follow, you can get as much or as little help as you need from numerous sources (I also go right to the IRS documents on occasion, but that is because I am an attorney and very comfortable with primary legal sources). I find that bouncing to the forms and back to check where my entries are going is easy and convenient.
I highly recommend TT (business, home&business, premier or deluxe) for anyone who has to do any kind of tax return! From my son's first 1040EZ to my 1120-S, it rocks. It even handles the oddball calculations necessary to recharacterize my son's scholarship as taxable, to get the biggest AOTC possible, and the forms necessary for him to pay the tax at my rate (kiddie tax). It's so easy with TT to try different scenarios to maximize the refund or minimize the tax, even across an entire family's returns.
What's great about it: Easy, thorough.
What's not so great: Interview a little cumbersome.
Pros: I moved
