Better than paying an Accountant

I have used TurboTax for many years; this is the first year I stepped up to their premier product to do my family's LLC taxes on a rental property. In general, the step-by-step is helpful, and I liked being able to check the specific forms as needed. Very disappointed that there were numerous hiccups in fairly simple parts of the software - AND - no way to easily give feedback to TT about their problems. I expected the premier product to be better than the lower levels, but not so!
What's great about it: Better than paying an accountant

I have been a user for more years than I can remember. The product has been consistently good throughout.
Mine is a relatively simple business so I appreciate keeping tax preparation that way.
The ease of electronic filing & the gathering of all required forms for me to store is great for my peace of mind.

Simple and quick

Product was easy to use and quick at plugging in the numbers. A little frustrating that Intuit is the creator and I could not import my online QuickBooks information into the program.

What's not so great: Occasional difficulty in navigating tabs

Program is getting easier to use

Like anything else one does...the more they do it they easier it is to do. Same with using Turbo Tax year after Year.
What's great about it: Explained pit falls such as K1 differences from those recieved and K1 as Ordinary Income
What's not so great: Still takes a while to set it up...

The program was very user friendly, and helpful. I think thr format could be a little more dynamic especially when it comes to checking errors. If something doesn't match my books, it would nice to have suggestions on possibilities of how the balance is off.
Also, the Quickbooks Import was close to failure. The majority of the numbers were different. We tried to fix the imported info, but ended up having to start completely over and manually import.

how to improve TurboTax business

The Arizona state program is unfinished. doent do anything just shows text. I mailed it to the state anyway. I don't thing anyone looks at it.
What's great about it: Smooth operation
What's not so great: Lost files -- I cant find the K1 files after generating them. Regenerated.
