I like working with turbotax software Each year. I view my S corporation tax return as a puzzle, one piece at a time when laws change I rely on turbotax to automatically update like a personal mentor on my side each step of the way; and when I'm all done it's Audit free checks help me get my s corp on its way!!
What's great about it: professional, reliabe, & fast

Well integrated with Quickbooks

Overall very user-friendly and accurate. Worked even better this year over previous. (I have used TT for 15+ years). I still don't like having to pay so much for the state e-file on top of all the other money Intuit charges when it can be filed for free in Virginia electronically anyway.
What's great about it: Simple and accurate
What's not so great: Too much for "free" state efile

Because a typo in the name of our LLC, we could not e-file. I finally just printed out the forms and mailed them.
Would have been helpful to know that the first 4 letters of the LLC had to match last years.
What's great about it: calculated and advised for LLC
What's not so great: Could not e-file

Being a Co-Founder of a small S-Corp, TT Business is a no brainer when it comes to tax time. We can easily manage our corporate financials via QuickBooks, and being able to import our annual data into TT Business is a huge plus. Let's face it, the amount of time it takes to file your taxes is heavily dependent on how organized and prepared you are. These two tools allow me to complete our taxes in a timely manner and remain focused on my customers and business.
What's great about it: Quickbooks integration
What's not so great: Sometimes I was prompted to answer the same question multiple times.

TurboTax delivers, every year. It is my go to program for personal and business taxes alike. They make things easy to use, easy to understand, and as hassle-free as taxes can be. I always recommend TurboTax, and won't likely ever use another software program. Keep up the great work, Intuit.
What's great about it: Easy, Thorough, Inuitive
What's not so great: Not Available from turbotax.com, like Personal Taxes

Love TurboTax and have been using it for 25+ years. Every year gets a little better! I love being able to make changes and have all the related schedules automatically adjusted. I can't imagine trying to do taxes without TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy integration from Fed to State
What's not so great: State review doesn't readily show any problems.
Pros: I bought or sold investments, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Small Biz 2-Member LLC Filing Ourselves
on February 21, 2017

First of all, this TT software desperately needs a version for a Mac for the Small Business/LLC edition. Macs are all our office has, so we have to borrow a PC to do our taxes, which is a huge inconvenience b/c taxes take a week or more to finish. Secondly, even when starting with uploading the previous year's file, there seems to be a lot of company/member information that could be pulled from our previous return, but for some reason, we need to fill in again on the current file. Thirdly, I get stuck every year at the same section with balancing our books to what TT has calculated. I enter all of our numbers from our balance sheet, which is accurate, and somehow Turbo has random numbers. There should be more help offered in that area when it asks you to review your input numbers. If my balance sheet is balanced, but the numbers aren't matching TT, all TT asks me to do is look over the same page and if my numbers don't need changing then I'm stuck and not sure what to do next. If TT could point me in the direction or offer some additional tips that may point me to where I can change other numbers that are effecting what TT has on file, that would probably help me get thru the process faster.
What's great about it: Affordable
What's not so great: Always Stuck Balancing Books to Turbo
