Great Streamline system

Great product and has overall inclusive details without being difficult to navigate. CD sends you to help center when you need help, lacks information. Calling someone requires an account.
What's great about it: Step-by-Step streamlined

People who know what they are talking about

I thought this was an iffy investment for my LLC...completely wrong. I was afraid I would get routed to some foreign call center or people who couldn't help me but these are all professionals who were extremely helpful. The only customer service line Ive ever spoken to in any industry that hires people who know what they are talking about. Thank God!

Filing for LLC owning rental property

... I wish that Turbo Tax had a native Mac version of the Business software, but I ran this under Parallels and it's relatively painless. My life partner is in my LLC so I need to generate Schedule K-1's (in hindight I wouldn't have made her a partner and just made her a beneficiary in my will). Other than that my tax situation is very straight forward (ie. rent, maintenance assessments, property tax - that's about it so nothing unusual. First time that I did electronic filing. An somebody who lives overseas this is a Godsend.
What's great about it: Subsequent years (more) straight forward
What's not so great: Some interview questions confusing first year

Fast & Safe Filing

I like the automatic depreciation calculations when I transfer the previous year's information. Use to take me a couple of weeks to bring everything up to date. But the error finder does not indicate how many errors need correcting. You have to use the slider arrows at the right of the error line to see all the errors. Once I figured that out, corrections went very fast. The dialog pages really do cover everything and can jog your memory so you don't forget a thing. The efile Form 8453-C instructions are much easier to follow than in previous years. Good program and free efile makes filing so much faster and easier than mailing 20 to 30 pages, plus it's safer.
What's great about it: Automatic depreciation calculations
What's not so great: Hard to find all the errors with error icon

Smooth as silk

I have used other software to file but have used TurboTax the last few years as it is in my humble opinion the very best. It takes the pain out of filing by doing the vast majority of the work and doing it right.
