Everything for the S corp return was great except with the Illinois return the Schedule B page 1 and 2 did not print on the page. You had to go in and print that form separately using a reduced print size to make it work.

CSAI Turbo Taxes

I found that with a little preparation, the Turbo Tax implementation went quite nicely. The filing person must prepare by developing a set of summary documents that can then be transferred to Turbo Tax. The basic accounting balance sheets and supporting documentation should be present at the time Turbo Tax is employed.
What's great about it: I liked the ease with which the returns could be generated.
What's not so great: not much was wrong...

Keeps Getting Better

This product has gotten better over time. It is easier to use now than in the past. You have simplified how to deal with the tax issues for non accountants. I like having the input organized in general sections. It help me think of other income/deductions.
What's great about it: I like the tab organization

Partnership doesn't allow Calif adjustments

In the California state interview flow, there is a section for 4 state adjustments. It asks about special credits and USE tax, but it skips over the other 2, including the depreciation adjustments. For several years running, I've called tech support and we've agreed that the only solution is to do a manual override and enter adjustment on p. 4 of the Calif. 565. Therefore, no e-file allowed.
What's great about it: OK with important exception

Good except state

All was well except of the 2 state returns I had to file, one did not pro-rate the income on the K-1 but printed it as showing all the company's income allocable to that state. I got around that by using old fashioned white-out, since it is a return that is mailed in.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to fill out
What's not so great: Some of the data had to be entered as an over-ride, which required me to Google the topic to find out how to do that.
