Perhaps fine for most people, but if you expect the same handling of K-1s and importing of brokerage 1099s as provided by the Home & Business program, you will be quite disappointed. 1099s must be entered manually, and the K-1 inputs do not even prompt for sale and cost basis data. Those have to be handled via the Schedule D related inputs, and it seems that the necessary basis adjustments for partners requires the taxpayer to know much more of partnership tax law than such a program should presume.
What's great about it: Price, step by step guidance
What's not so great: weak handling of K-1s, too much manual input.

IRS Deadline Change
on April 20, 2017

I was unaware that the deadline for the 1065 form was moved up a month. This seems like something that should have been called out in the program each time it was opened. I am now faced with a fairly stiff penalty from the IRS. I'm disappointed.

Turbo Tax Business

It sucks to have to run Turbo Tax Business on a PC. Please, please please make a version that runs on an Apple computer, like all your other tax programs. I'm sure there are millions of loyal Apple consumers who feel strongly like me!
What's great about it: overall OK
What's not so great: need more detailed explanations, also need to make Turbo Tax Business to run on Apple computers

Not as good as it used to be

I have done my small business tax returns with Turbo Tax for 11 years. I used to be able to import the data from QB desktop. Last year I had a terrible time with the Balance Sheet.....it balanced in QB but not all of the data imported. This year, after wrestling with it for two hours, I could not import anything from QB - I had to enter it all manually. It takes a lot more time than it used to - the price is too high if I cannot import the data from QB.
What's great about it: less expensive than a CPA
What's not so great: cannot import from QB the last 2 years

TT business oversimplified
on September 20, 2017

First-time buyer of TT Business, using for a TRUST. After using TT (personal) for a number of years, I was totally disappointed with the lack of guidance in TT Business. In the end, I met with a CPA to verify I was doing things "right." Frustrating to pay so much money for what is -- for me -- a minimal return, yet not have guidance.
What's great about it: it can generate forms
What's not so great: not much guidance

Business Turbo Tax worked great to fill out your Business ONLY taxes. It took me a while to figure that out. Just tap, click, fill in the blanks and away you go. Particularly helpful to me was the ability to fill and produce K-1s. Sweet !!
What's great about it: Easy to use, quick,
What's not so great: Not a lot of great support
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not for beginners

I love turbo tax for personal taxes. Not so much for corporate returns. I had to hire a cpa to help me fix a few errors in the AAA. unless you have an accounting background or some in depth understanding, fixing errors would be hard to do. Some of the monetary values that it asks you to input are different that what quickbooks has. For instance Turbo tax views payables and receivables differently that quickbooks. Also, equity is calculated differently but Turbo Tax doesn't tell you how it would like you to calculate it. Finding the correct values is a bit tricky. I wish Turbo Tax would make it very clear-input this value found on B/S or Cash Flow Statement. I wish that if Turbo Tax wanted a value that was different than quickbooks it would tell you more specifically how to calculate it using some of the QB data. Aside from those issues, it's fairly easy to use.
What's great about it: imports quickbooks data
What's not so great: when filling in monetary values, sometimes they are different than quickbooks. Must have knowledge of accounting
Pros: I had a baby, I moved
