2016 CA Form 100 omission
on October 13, 2017

Why did you not ask if the corporation was a California Eligible Small Business? Net operating losses can be carried forward 20 years, not 5. I could not use Turbo Tax as a result. Please see page 47 of the instructions for California Form 100. I suspect that many of your users are Eligible Small Businesses.
What's great about it: Good math.
What's not so great: Why did you not ask if the taxpayer was a California Eligible Small Business?

This was my first year doing taxes with TurboTax as a multi member LLC. I originally purchased HR Block because it was less expensive... big mistake. It was so complicated I gave up... and I don't give up easy! I used TurboTax for personal returns in the past and decided to try them for my LLC. WOW... night and day difference. Question by question, item by item everything was explained in a way I understood. I was ready to pay an expert... glad I found this expert software instead! Customer for LIFE! Thank you TurboTax team ;)

What's not so great: nada
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TT Business not as good this year

I was able to complete the 2016 1120S return for my S-Corp as usual. However, once you do anything out of the 'standard' entries, the program didn't work as well. Example: Depreciation wasn't handled easily nor correctly and I had to manually adjust some entries/numbers. Upon completing/printing the return, I noticed that the pages after page 1 did NOT include the corp. name and EIN. Tried to fix/edit this manually and cannot do so. Tried to get an answer using the 'Help' and cannot do so. I've now posted my question but don't know if/when a response will turn up. Very frustrating and will likely end up putting this info/date on the forms manually. This is a program bug that should be fixed and/or the program should allow you to enter/edit the data on the forms.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: TT Business=not working correctly as of 2/13/17

Unclear marketing led to difficult return
on March 15, 2017

It's widely noted across forums that it's not possible to merge Quick Books Online data (from any of the online products) to the Turbo Tax Business (or basics) desktop tool.
This is completely frustrating and time consuming, especially for me as a new business owner. I shouldn't need to manually import something I spent dozens of hours preparing - explicitly for tax purposes - within QuickBooks. Especially given the marketing states the programs work together.
The only solution is to buy QB desktop premium and then use the desktop Turbo Tax business. But in my case I have a bookkeeper who works in her own office, and would have NO way to access my QB desktop info. So basically there's no good solution.
Even though the problem has existed since - wait for it - 2014 (At least). More than two years, Intuit hasn't figured out how to solve this problem. At one time they were giving out temporary free downloadds of QB desktop to QB Online users so they could download their online data, import into desktop and then sync up with TurboTax. Even then it's a huge pain because you have to get someone on the phone to make this happen.
Bottom line, it's a huge hassle and I would seriously recommend just hiring an accountant to handle things. Even with the tutorials, there's no way the average biz owner is filing their returns correctly as often as they claim. There are so many opportunities to make an error it's not even funny. Basically you can just tell the system "oh, you found a problem, well I don't know how to fix that so let's just hit continue" and there's no real advice given for solving a given problem. IE scenarios specific to the problem you face and ways to think about solving them.
What's great about it: Promised to be easy
What's not so great: QB Online doesn't work with TT Business
