Great to have consistent, year by year records, and easy for transmission to financial institutions, etc.
What's great about it: Year to year connected
What's not so great: balance sheet confusing

Eratic and incomplete

I use this to prepare returns for two special needs trusts. The product is very erratic. Multiple runs of the error review will produce very different results. Repeat the next day and it will find something new, though nothing has changed. The trusts are Missouri trusts, I live in NM. Software insists I must file NM, and does not allow me to purchase MO. Lost sale, and extra hassle for me completing MO forms by hand.
What's not so great: no state product, inconsistent review resuls

Mostly Good

The application generally does a good job. For example, the balance checking is important and helpful. Another Pro is auto-creating most of the State data from the Federal. However, I sometimes found it difficult to find the source of an item (e.g. items like depreciation in schedule M-1). I spent way too much time trying to clear such an item to get Tax and Book income to balance.
What's great about it: Book balance checking
What's not so great: Difficult to change some items

TurboTax not compatible with itself

If you start your personal review, and you want to import your information into business so you can do your s-corp filing of the business and personal taxes. You cannot. You can only use the products separately. You can save the *.tax2016 file from online, and it will fail to import into TurboTax 2016 Business.
What's great about it: Ability to e-file taxes
What's not so great: Not compatible with online edition
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I paid to e-file my biz returns, and this program will not do it. I guess I print and mail. Then, next year I do the same without this expensive program.
What's great about it: Ease of use.........
What's not so great: Will not e-file when completed
