Super Simple Taxes made easy

This made my taxes way faster and easier than ever. When you do it year after year the data conversion from each year alone is well worth the money spent on the program!
What's great about it: Fast
What's not so great: Not made for Mac computers
Pros: I bought or sold investments, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Trusts and Turbotax

It's VERY expensive for a simple Durable Trust with a few interest or dividend lines and a K-1. Intuit incorrectly groups simple Trusts and Estates with the most expensive Business version of TurboTax causing unnecessary expense. It has no easy walk through of items either. Someone really needs to revamp these products and move Trusts and Estates to another version.
What's great about it: It works and it's cheaper than an accountant
What's not so great: It's VERY expensive for a simple Durable Trust with a few interest or divident lines and a K-1.

i have to unprotect my pc to download an application like turbo tax. reprotect the pc and use do the taxes.
downloading the state does not put a file on your disk, rather it installs directly - too bad when i restart my pc it is gone. should download as a file like the turbo tax business does..

First time doing a trust

It didn't have robust enough questions and the first time through I took a totally wrong path.
The trust had 2 sub trusts of different types. 1 needed reporting the other was done long ago by my lawyer and I forgot. There was no good way to back up or even delete an attempted return. I just did a new one and have the old one hanging around to confuse me.

Turbo Business

I had a CPA before. But i was confused with the answers for some of my questions. I decided to do my S-corp tax by myself for my knowledge. I learned alot. Also found couple errors that was made. I corrected them.
What's great about it: Very simple to use

turbotax business

I've been using Turbotax Business and Turbotax Premier (Deluxe) for my businesses and personal returns for over a decade. I should be able to, at least, "e-file" my business extensions. I know that Turbotax is authorized to e-file extensions per the IRS website. It would be nice to pass that on to your program purchasers.
What's great about it: Very easy to maneuver through the return utilizing the search and "jump to" feature.
What's not so great: Could not e-file Form 7004 "application for automatic extension".

my tax form came out with incorrect year end date

Why did my 2016 tax return print out with a year end of 01/31/2016 instead of 12/31/2016. I tried to make an amendment for the IRS but dates print out the same. Its an annual return.
