When glitches occur, it would be helpful if the system took you directly to the problem area of the return instead of continuing to loop you until you figure things out for yourself. Figuring out what went wrong where was very time consuming. Also, where are paper forms to be mailed?? I guessed where to send required documents.
What's great about it: easy to follow if your records are in order
What's not so great: difficult if you are unorganized
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

problem while filing

experienced a problem while e-filing my tax return. The software keeps saying I need to update the software even though the software is up-to-date. Could not resolve the problem although I tried uninstall/reinstall the program several times. I wasted my precious time and energy a lot and finally gave up and I had to print the tax return and mail it by myself.
What's great about it: easy to file

A total exceeding 4 hours of time invested on the phone with customer support and over a week later I finally got my taxes filed. Taxes come around every year. I would encourage turbotax to actually be prepared for next year. Not sure I will give them another chance though.
What's great about it: Directed but with limited information
What's not so great: Poor programming and SLOW support.

Should be 100% in the cloud. Should integrate with quick books online. Should have better explanation.

Turbotax Business - 2016

TT does not make TT Business for MAC, which forces me to buy Windows just for my small business return. I use MAC for everything else. Every year I "almost" switch to someone else's software. I am loyal to you - why won't you be loyal to me? MAKE TT BUSINESS FOR MAC, PLEASE!

TurboTax Business - for S-Corp

Easily loads data from previous year's TurboTax and current year data from QuickBooks. Spent a fair amount of time aligning my QuickBooks categories with tax categories in TurboTax. But once done, makes importing from QuickBooks easier.
I've never purchased state module because for my state, the state forms are trivial and can easily be done online.
Overall, I found it overkill for a small, simple S-Corp, but it did help me get taxes done quickly.

Mac Compatibility

The personal version of Turbo Tax is Mac compatible so to file my business and personal returns, I have to use 2 computers. It would be very helpful if you made a Mac version of the business tax software too!!!
What's great about it: I truly like the program and have used it for years!
What's not so great: You NEED to make this compatible with the Apple Mac.
Pros: I bought or sold investments, I moved
