Needs a bit more information

For the most part, TurboTax is great, and I would not attempt a corporate tax return without it. My only complaint is that some of the most confusing questions have no explanations. Example: Foreign Taxes. The form asks for foreign income, deductions and taxes, but the entry boxes are labeled Gross Income, Deductions, Other. This was the first year this form was presented this way. I had to guess that Other was the place where I should put my foreign taxes paid. Also, I had already included foreign dividends in my dividend total, so it made me nervous to enter them a second time. I think this was correct, but there was no guidance.
What's great about it: Walks me through the forms, makes sure my accounts balance, keeps up with the newest requirements
What's not so great: No explanation on some confusing pages

Easier than I thought!

As a first timer filing for a LLC, I was a little intimidated at the beginning. As I went through the questions it was just as simple as any other taxes I've done.

Review of TurboTax Business 2016

Most of my experience with filling out a return for my brand new LLC was made easy and understandable. There were some "sticky" errors where checkboxes remained checked even though the choices were irrelevant to my tax filing and I could not uncheck the boxes. Using the Back key sometimes cleared the boxes -- but, sometimes the Back key did *not* help with clearing the checkbox options. I spotted a misspelling on one of the screens. The Print dialog was unclear and left me hanging -- when was my printer supposed to fire up? The State return for Georgia had lackluster help provided and I was left feeling that the review for accuracy and thoroughness was up to me to do manually.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, software handles the intricacies and interdependencies for me
What's not so great: State review for Georgia has sketchy help.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

There must be a easy way to sort out the balance sheet issues (totals not adding up exactly etc.) ...this part took me an entire day to figure out the rest was only ~ 30 mins. Otherwise would have been a 5 star for me.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to use and staright forward
What's not so great: Balance sheet was a nightmare 2 years in a row even when last year return was imported.

Best Tax Software and Customer Service!

The software is by far the best that I have seen or used. This being my first year as a small business owner, I was reluctant to do this on my own, but the step by step process was fairly straight forward and they had excellent customer support to answer any pending questions that I had about how to file my income and deductions. No need to get an accountant!
What's great about it: Excellent customer service and user friendly software interface
What's not so great: Occasionally had references in text without good examples
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Business Taxes Program!

This is the best business taxes program! We've been paying hundreds to our CPA when all we have is a small business. Thought we'd try it ourselves, save some money and it was simple.
What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance, lots of help
What's not so great: When you have to go back and change something, you have to hunt for where it is. Also, can't download from QB online.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not as user friendly

I have been a Turbotax user since the early 90s. I have been using the Business version for 4 years. I don't understand while some of the common features in the standard version like being able to import information from banks is not available in the very expensive Business version. And it costs twice as much. Less for more - I just don't get it!
What's not so great: Not as user friendly, way too expensive

Glitchiest TurboTax EVER

This is the last time I will be using TurboTax. The program I bought had very severe difficulty operating from start to finish, stopping 3 different times to install updates, and crashing 4 other times before I could finish. Also, I was not able to import my tax return from last year even though I have used TurboTax since 2005. It has just gotten too glitchy! Even posting this review is an ordeal!
What's great about it: familiar TurboTax features
What's not so great: program crashes repeatedly
