[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the fridge a few months ago and it has really come in handy when we have lots of company, due to its food capacity.

Poorly Designed

This refrigerator has too many design flaws. It has to do with the freezer which is not designed properly. The pull-out draw is constantly coming off its track and the air gets in causing frost buildup. The ice maker fills up and ice drops out of the bucket and under the drawer and causes the drawer not to close properly. This refrigerator was replaced brand new for me and I still have the same problem with the second one.

Hi Carolyn5! Opening and closing your freezer from the center will help with help prevent your drawer coming off track. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us directly. –Kind Regards

Won't chose Electrolux again
on January 22, 2013

I purchased 4 new Electrolux appliances in October. The refrigerator is quite nice but has several "issues." When it arrived, the bottom freezer drawer was off it's tracks and has never been 100% since. It sticks out slightly farther than the other side despite a repairman trying to get it straight. One of the glides for the bottom "perfect" drawer has locked up several times and now no longer functions. The biggest drawback (provided the broken things can be fixed) is that the shelf height provides for very little adjustment possibilities because the bottom and top slots for the shelves are unusable. What this means is that in order to have adequate space for tall items, one shelf has to be removed thereby eliminating valuable storage possibilities. While there is room in the doors, there is not nearly enough. Drink/Juice/Milk/Wine all has to be stored on its side. One other drawback of my unit, which does not have the front water and ice dispenser is that the ice often gets knocked out of the ice bin back behind the drawer unit preventing the drawer from closing. This is typical of a bottom freezer design with the ice maker in the bottom but I would have thought at this price and with the supposed quality of Electrolux they would have a better solution. The range I purchased was a dual fuel, two oven. The bottom oven is extremely small compared to the same type of range (a Jenn-Air) that I replaced it with. The larger oven bakes very hot. The range top works well but is not the same finish as the rest of the brushed stainless and shows every scratch. The largest burner has a glass top on it with a permanent stain from the burn of the pilot light. The microwave glass door has a "haze" which doesn't affect performance but just isn't attractive at all. Lastly, the dishwasher controls are EXTREMELY hard to operate. You have to push many times to get it to respond and find the exact right spot or it doesn't work. The wash job is fine but nothing to brag about. The racks are also just okay but don't compare to my previous Jenn-Air in functionality. There isn't a good way to load cereal/soup bowls unless they take up lots of room or rest on one another. All in all, if I had it to do over, I would go back to Jenn-Air or chose another brand, particularly for the money involved, I expected better design and function.

The freezer compartment has frost and dripping water in the back of the drawer and continues to have problems. Brand new and I wish it was gone!!

Love this microwave

I purchased this microwave because of the convection oven feature. I previously had a double oven and was hesitant about going to a single oven. The microwave allows me to not only use the microwave feature, but the convection as well. It is a learning curve using the new microwave, but well worth the purchase.

AH .... MORE ROOM!!!

With my new refrigerator, which is 3 inches wider than my old one and deeper, I am thrilled with the extra room and love the various compartments, which it has, including the perfect temperature drawers.  I find my deli meats and cheeses last much longer!
I also like the compartmentalization of the freezer drawers .... and the depth of the bottom one.
Also love the amount of space on the doors where I can house so many items.
All in all .... it's a welcomed addition in the kitchen .... as well as my other Eletrolux appliances .... microwave, cooktop and double oven.

I've longed for a French door style fridge. Thrilled to finally have one with my kitchen renovation. Love its modern, yet 'old school' look. A classic look that would fit perfectly in any kitchen design & décor.

Electrolux Review
on December 16, 2013

I am very happy with this Refridgerator. It is good looking, and also very roomy and bright. Lots of storage space.
I particularly like the drawers.
Also, we were replacing a 25 year old Traulsen and I liked the industrial look that comes with purchasing the Electrolux "trim kit". Installed, it looks just like a Subzero but with a lot more storage room and at a fraction of the price.
My icemaker had an issue with the filter at the beginning (stopped making ice) but I think that was an installation issue. I had no problem finding a repairman (unlike with my Traulsen) and it was covered under warranty. Also, the flap on the inside of the door (to establish the seal) doesn't always catch into the groove it is supposed to upon closing - so the door stays a bit ajar unless you are somewhat concious about closing it properly. There is an alarm that sounds after a few minutes though, so this has not been a huge issue and it is much preferable to having a bar down the center.
