Electolux refrigerator delivered less than a week ago and does not does not operate correctly. Temperatures are all over the place. Can keep cold in the refrigerator or freezer. Spoiled hundreds of dollars of food. Lots of controls, but all I really want is it to keep food cold.

Bought 2 months ago and still haven't had an ice cube yet. 5 repair people have been out and still not working. Last I heard we were getting a new fridge. Will wait to see on that machine also.

Worst purchase ever made

Nothing but problems with the freezer compartment. Over-engineered, fancy sliders that come off the tracks. Freezer loses seal when refrigerator door is closed. Can't describe the overall disappointments in this unit.

Good Looking

I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago. Had to remove the doors to get it into the kitchen but for once a manual explained the process well. Also noticed a small clip was missing for one of the sliding drawers. I called customer service the next day and there was no hesitation in getting the small replacement part out in the mail. The person I spoke with was courteous and quick to get the issue resolved...A+. The features on and in the frig are more than our family needs, but the price at our local retailer was too good to pass up. The soft close drawers are great. And it runs very quietly so hoping that continues for years! Overall...great so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The refrigerator presented some problems shortly after it was installed. The freezer door was not closing all the way and there was no way that we were aware of this until we noticed that food was defrosting. No signal sounded to warn us of the problem. We called for service and within a few days a technician discovered that the door was off track and the basket in the freezer was not in the right place. This could all have been prevented if the installers had taken the time to examine all aspects of the refrigerator. I wrote a letter to Electrolux asking if all their appliances were presenting problems because of what we had experienced. This was shortly after we purchased the refrigerator and I have not received a reply as yet. We purchased the refrigerator upon the recommendation of the salesperson and because our 15 year old GE had stopped working. We are looking to upgrade all our appliances to match the refrigerator but because Electrolux got rather poor reviews for their appliances when I checked internet sites, I am not sure that we will be choosing Electrolux brand.

Frustration

Unfortunately, I have had three new Electrolux refrigerators within two years. They all have had the same problem which is after the appliance is running for a few days the tower separates and is not sealed. Therefore, cold air is forced into the bottom drawer and all the food freezes.
The first refrigerator had a crack in the housing and would not keep a steady temperature of 37 degrees. I was mostly 50 degrees. Fortunately, I had an extended warranty and after many repair and changes in the computer board, my refrigerator was replaced.
The next refrigerator had a huge gap in the housing and was blowing cold air into the refrigerated drawer. Fortunately, your customer service supervisor authorized a replacement as it was defective from the get-go.
The new one was delivered a week ago and the ice maker line froze up and again cold air is blowing into the vegetable drawer.
We are amazed that the engineers cannot figure out the problem with the air distribution tower when apparently the problem has been known for a while as per the serviceman and there is a re[air kit for fix the problem.
At this point we are waiting for replacement parts and hope to have the problem fixed but we are not sure since the seal kit did not do the job with the second refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Space!

The stainless steel case has not been an issue for us. I love the large amount of space and the ease of moving the shelves (the shelves have a release slider that needs to be moved before the shelves can be moved). Please do note that if you are 5'2" like me - it may be somewhat awkward to reach the very back of the refrigerator - but, it is worth it! I do wish that the compartment in the door for milk cartons or 2-liter bottles had a taller piece in front of them - as I'm afraid that if the door is shut too quickly the bottles will tip out. I had read that needing to open both doors to then open the center drawer might be an issue. It is not an issue, but, I kinda of wished that I had gotten the drawer on the outside. Also, note that it takes time to learn to how to pull out the veggie drawers so that the metal rails (so very good to have metal and not plastic parts) stay with the drawer. I had called Electrolux Customer Service to ask about the veggie drawers and I was provided with excellent customer service! I love the size of the freezer and the ease of use. The ice tray holds a very large amount of ice. The "soft drawer" in the freezer is a great addition!
This refrigerator would have gotten 5 stars, if the noise level of the refrigerator was lower. We can hear the refrigerator over a TV program (and we have a partial wall between the TV room and the refrigerator), it sounds like both water running and a very fast ticking clock. We knew the ice maker made noise, but, this noise occurs randomly and we were told by our installer that's just the way it is.
Overall, I'd buy it again!

Cheaply made

The refrigerator is nicely designed but is of poor quality. We have it for about 15 months, so its warranty is over. The plastic at the bottom of both vertical doors, which no one touches, is cracked and is falling off. This plastic covers many surfaces of all doors I expect that the same will happen at other places.
