Good cooling, small size, and light Easy install

This window unit weighs less than 50 lbs., which is important for someone my age. it was very easy to install, and started cooling really fast. It greatly improves the overall temperature of not only the room it is in, but nearby rooms as well.
The digital controls, and remote work well, and it allows settings down to 64 degrees, which is good for those of us who like a cool bedroom.
On the negative side, the choice of white foam plastic for the wall between inside, and outside components is great for insulation, but lets way too much light through. The unit is so shallow that the compressor, and inside, and outside fans manage to be fairly noisy under load, and at high fan speeds. I also don't like the blinking red power light. To me, a blinking red light signals a problem, so I covered it.

Love this window A/C

My central air for the second floor of the home went out and I bought this window unit. It has performed beyond my expectations, so much so, that I have not replaced the central unit yet. It cools the large BR and bath area well.

Great Air Conditioner!

I have used this air conditioner over a year now so I finally decided to write a review! This little a/c is a amazing and works great and have had zero problems with it! If ur looking for a smaller unit with enough power to cool down 2 rooms and a hallway this one does it with ease! And seems to use a lot less power than past units I have used!! So far LG hasn't failed me!

Just what I needed!

I had to replace another air conditioner that just would not lower the room temp enough. That air conditioner was not an LG. The new LG works much better. I could bring the temp down to less than 65 degrees. The other conditioner would not go lower than 79. This is an electronic control panel which makes control of the temp very easy. It can also be set on time delay so the room will be cool when you return. I would recommend this to everybody.

We own a brick home which maintains the heat, and we have had over 90 degree weather with thick humidity lately.
Our central air is working over time trying to keep the house cool.
But with anyone that has kids, knows, the doors keep opening and closing, which in turns brings in more hot air.
This unit is in our living room area and it works GREAT! Cools down the house in less then an hour. Very impressed with this unit, because it apparently is used for small areas. Well, this unit cools over 1200 sq feet with all interior doors closed and ceiling fans running. Hoping this will give our central air a little break and a break in the high electrical bills!

It's cool how well it cools!

We live in a 360sq ft park model RV. The unit is installed in the main room and with the use of ceiling fans cools the entire house...and quickly. We are entirely satisfied.
