This product was easy to install, easy to use, has a number of features and settings that are very convenient. Its performance is superb. It does a lot for such a small air conditioner unit. I am very pleased that I bought this product.

Extremely happy with LG 8,00 BTU AC! Easy to install. We received product in a couple of days. Directions were direct and concise. Love the remote control. Cooled our 300 square feet room in no time at all. LG makes great products and we will buy more of their products in the future.

It's a tad heavy for me but once I got it in the window it works beautifully. I set it on the lowest fan setting and it cools wonderfully. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone.

Exceptional value and performance

Works great and keeps the living room a cool 70 degrees with out even trying.
Fan is on low all the time.
The only time the fan ran on high was when I installed it.
It was 92 degrees and in less then 1/2 hr. the room was at 70. Even the kitchen is at 70.
This unit is taking care of 3 rooms with ease.
Gotta love it--It is doing a great job.

Effective Unit Good price

I bought this unit because our central air doesn't cool the upstairs bedroom enough. However, It doesn't fit well into our window because it tilts in instead of out and water drips from front. It is probably because of the design of the window. I will build up the front of the window sill and reinstall. I'm happy.

High performance, reasonable cost

Have been using this window unit for the past couple of months, and it turns out to be a good choice. I use it to cool down a room of almost 400 sqf. The temperature always drops quickly once turning it on. Only two minor concerns: 1) the noise of the wind (not the engine roaring; the main body of the unit is quiet); 2) the plastic front board seems a little bit more fragile than my expectation; so take care!
Whatever, it is a functional unit with its very reasonable price.

Quiet no-frills air conditioner

My old non-LG bedroom air conditioner was lost during Superstorm Sandy. We were lucky as that was our only casualty of the storm and I hated that air conditioner as it was noisy. When cooling season started here in NYC I purchased an LG LW8012ER. It was somewhat heavier than our old AC and it lacks many of the features that one had, like variable fan speed and a thermostat in the remote control, but it is so much quieter and cools the room so much better. We are very happy with our new air conditioner and based on our limited experience with it would highly recommend it.

Good Product

I have owned and used this product for a few weeks now. After much research, I settled on this LG product and happily, it has lived up to my expectations. It cools quickly and maintains desired temperature. Used in a second floor bedroom, I can report that its noise level is a white noise hum that is not disrupting sleep. When the unit cycles into energy saver mode and cycles back on, it does so quietly. During swampy DC summer conditions, the unit dehumidifies nicely.
I am appreciative of LG's follow-up communications concerning their product, its proper installation and maintenance.
P.S. I also own 2 LG flat screen tvs that have been trouble-free and have lovely picture quality.
