My first LG product. I am surprised by it's efficiency. Nice to have the remote and also enjoy the timer feature. This unit will shut itself off at night if you wish. We have an old brick row house and it cools our entire top floor. I think it is more efficient and works harder than LG lets on.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Good little Air Conditioner - but could be better

This unit has good design features and works overall pretty well. However, I do have a few issues. 1. The thermostat is not calibrated. The temp set and the room are usually 3 degrees different. Set the unit at 76 and the room will rest at 79. 2. The econo cycle is great but too short. The cycle is for 3 minutes. It stays off for 2.5 minutes then runs for 30 seconds to test the temp. If it needs to turn on the cool, it then shuts off then starts again in the cool mode. This constant on and off so quickly is nerve racking. They could have made it so it was adjustable for 5 up to 10 minutes. 3 minutes is just too quick. 3. Lastly, the front touch panel on my unit was scratch and torn. No biggie as far as functionality is concerned but, a quality issue that should have been spotted before shipping.
I bought on line so I got what I got but, I'd much rather purchase at a store to inspect the unit before taking it.

Mounting bracket on bottom of unit is spot welded on at 30 % angle . it makes the side panel very misaligned . Makes it much harder to install !!! Also noticed that the inside fan sounds like it is rubbing against something !? Very loud when it rains ...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Rather quiet, and good cooling

This is the first Air conditioner I have owned, so I can only compare it to those others I have encountered elsewhere, But I am well pleased with this machine. It seems to be as quiet as one could expect an air conditioner to be, being hardly much louder than a small fan when on low, and a while noticeable when on high, still not offensive. It cools very well, doing a most admirable job with my small house, which with it's open floor plan comes to larger than this AC is rated for, and yet still makes walking inside on a hot day like entering an oasis. Just make sure you follow the installation instructions and read how to preform the needed maintenance of the filter, etc. And you should find this a great product.

cools quickly

I have run this a/c almost non-stop for 3 months in Texas heat and it is great! Not too noisy and well worth the upgrade from the smaller less-expensive model which is so noisy when it cuts on and off that I am thinking of returning it (hardly used because wakes me up all night long).

very good but loud fan

this is perfect for the window I need it to be in because it is small enough to fit. the compressor is very quiet (hard to find these days) my only complaint is the fan. it is too loud for my bed room. even on low fan speed. I wish there was a way to make it quieter.
