I bought the SFW123GDC twice, as I ended up returning it once, thinking it may have been 'defective' only to pirchase it again elsewhere and find out that have/had same issues.
The first thing that stood out was the handle and the difficulty of opening the safe door, as it should open seamlessly, yet, it feels as the handle is not strong enough or may break soon. This is even more evident when unlocking using back-up/override key, and handle gets stuck for a bit.
The Door Handle BENDS a bit as you pull/push it down to open the safe door and its very noticeable that it doesn't have a good grip on 'latching mechanism'. I owned/used manual Combination 1.23 cu.ft. SentrySafe safe whwre Door Handle is solid strong and very easy to use to open/close the safe.
Also, the white plastic finish on the inside is 'loose' in the corners instead of having 'solid interior finish.'

Good safe. Ample amount of room. I thought the key was a back up, but to find out after purchasing and unpacking, that it was not. Is there a way to gain access if the electronics do not work?

I am nervous about using a digital lock. I wonder how the batteries might not corrode inside the battery compartment. I wonder if the digital key pad will last or malfunction, I probably should of bought a safe with a dial lock, but they are hard to open.............so I will see how this one performs too early to tell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
