Best French Door Fridge So Far

This is my third French-door style fridge and my first Electrolux. Of the three, this one stands out as having the best thought out design. I like the gradual LED lighting, the glass shelving, and the special drawer in the freezer for ice cream. My one issue is that there is no warning signal for the freezer door when it is not properly closed. When that happens, the entire freezer fills with frost. Once properly closed, the frost goes away, though, and I have quickly learned to check the door to be sure it is closed properly.

I had a French style fridge that I returned a few years ago because I hated it, seemed so inconvenient after having a side by side all my life, storage limited so we returned it. After my husband's constant insistence that he wanted to try it again, I gave it. First let me say that the ice maker was a huge concern, we are huge ice users and use large water bottles on a daily basis. WE LOVE THE ICE MAKERS in this fridge, yes MAKERS, there are 2. We never run out of ice and it is so convenient to fill up our bottles and I love the shape of the ice. As far as internal storage, it has been an adjustment as to where I put things, but it is so much easier to find things and I have found I have enough storage for all the things I really use and it is clean and uncluttered. Making the food more accessible, therefore less easy to forget about it and less rotten food to clean out. It looks sharp in our newly remodeled kitchen. I was also concerned about going to stainless for fear of smudges and streaks, but easily cleans with a dry cloth and or stainless steel cleaner and always looks beautiful. So far, loving our choice! PS I really like the large bottom crisper drawer in the fridge and the Soft serve drawer in the freezer, ice cream is always at the perfect temp for scooping and the crisper drawer is really versatile because I can change the temp for whatever the current need, meat, veggies, etc. I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 5 months ago and love it. I bought counter depth and it needed to fit into a certain build-out, it fit perfectly. It is a smaller unit but for one person, this works great. If I were into entertaining, I would have gotten a regular depth and not counter top depth. Gentlemen came and installed without issues. Love the filtered water and the 2 ice bin options.

We purchased this fridge based on past ownership of Electrolux oven and range. The features of this fridge are great. Very nice looking, great shelves, etc. the dual ice makers are just outstanding and pump out tons of ice.
There are two significant issues with this fridge that finally made us return it. First, it's really loud. All the time. 50 decibels non stop about 23 out of every 24 hours. The loud humming was literally the audio focal point of the house - louder than the TV in the next room. This is a 4000 square foot single story house, and we could hear the fridge in nearly every room. The second problem is that the water in the door is not chilled. The water is whatever temperature comes out of the pipe. At our house, water lines are in the attic and can be quite warm. So, the water in the door is also quite warm. Electrolux twice told me that this was by design.
Frankly, $4000 is a lot of money for a fridge and far too much for this noisy one. Ultimately, we returned for the top-of-the-line LG. Very quiet and with chilled water as expected. Not as much ice capacity, though.
The LG runs at 38-40 decibels. The decibel scale, like the Richter scale,mis logarithmic, not linear. 50 decibels is 10 times louder than 40 decibels. Electrolux really needs to fix this very significant problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have had two whirlpool gold refridgerators in the past year and a half. Nothing but problems! Purchased the Electrolux wave touch french door fridge. The stainless is high quality, there is nothing cheep about this product. Very quiet, and all the space is useable.

Please do yourself a favor... don't buy this fridge. Is horrible to feel scary every time to open the freezer door and you try to close it, and you can't. It get stuck so many time and I just fear that all the food I have in it is going to be spoiled because the doo doesn't close. Is just frustrating!!!

Condensation on freezer door

Woke up this summer to the freezer door covered in condensation was so disappointed in this refrigerator. It's beautiful, has some great features and designs but leaves you wanting quality. We sold our house and here i am once again looking for appliances.

Outstanding refrigerator

I purchased a side-by-side refrigerator some years back. Measurements indicated it was larger than the traditional refrigerator I had. However, I found the freezer section was smaller and I could no longer get larger platters in the refrigerator section. It was a bad purchase
Been looking at this Electrolux for some time and researched many brands of French style refrigerators. I kept coming back to this one as it offered the best features and has plenty of storage space in both freezer and fresh food area. Platters fit in very nicely. Will never buy a side-by-side again.
