Great Size and Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for a little over 2 months now and could not be more pleased. The sizing was perfect for our kitchen and we have already saved a lot of time and money not feeling the necessity to fill our fridge with bottled water!

Beautiful but flawed

I am writing about the previous model of the refrigerator. I have had it just under 3 years and have become good friends with the repairman! The ice maker was a flawed design that has been the subject of a few recalls. The only reason I haven't thrown this baby through a window is because Electrolux has continued to repair the ice maker even though it is out of warranty. The company really does stand behind their mistake but it's a pretty big mistake. For this price I should have received an entire new refrigerator since their is no replacing the defective ice maker. Before you buy this model be sure the ice maker is completely redesigned and get the extended warranty...for as long as possible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my new Electrolux

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the closest you will get to purchasing a professional built in refrigerator that is a stand alone. The inside capacity is a surprise becuase of the design you have so much space. The easy close sliding drawers are wonderful the freezer also fits so much becuase of extra drawer layout design.

Purcahsed as part of a whole package for complete kitchen remodel.. love the way the refrigerator looks.. good amount of space for counter depth.. the theatre lighting is very cool.. not thrilled with a couple items.. well, more than a couple.. the icemaker has the typical issue as with any French Door refrigerator. it doesn't make much ice.. two big tumblers will empty it.. I was also informed when the icemaker failed after 6 months that my refrigerator was one of a few made in a different design where the icemaker is part of the whole refrigeration system... so if it fails it cannot be replaced..?? huh..?? the freezer is huge.. however the baskets will become dislodged from the cradle that holds them and it prevents the freezer from closing completely.. it looks like the freezer is closed, but it's not and it allows just enough air in that the freezer compartment becomes incased in frost.. I expected more for the money.. but is a nice product..

We like it. It looks good, is relatively quiet, and works well. It makes a ton of ice. The water comes out fast, and the shelves are easy to adjust.

Very Nice Refrigerator

I bought this Refrigerator about two months ago as a replacement for a counter-depth model from another manufacturer. Unfortunately, I'm discovering that counter-depth models (from any maker) don't keep things as cold as I might like. Setting the temperature seems irrelevant since the Refrigerator basically keeps everything between 35 to 42 degrees (F) regardless of whatever I set it to. That is certainly acceptable (and recommended), but it would be nice if the controls and settings actually did something.
There is one thing this Electrolux does better than I've seen machines do before -- ICE. It makes an almost comical amount of ice. I'm not sure any family could use the crazy amount of ice this machine makes (remember, it has two ice makers - one in the door and one in the freezer compartment).
Also, the fit and finish of the appliance is quite nice -- very clean and smooth handles and well designed drawers. Also the soft serve ice cream drawer is fantastic -- it really works and might be something I can no longer live without -- even though I never had one before this machine.

High quality & Well laid out

Overall this refrigerator is quite well made and functions great for our household.
Pros:
- Glass shelfs are well constructed and easy to remove for cleaning
- Drawers are soft close
- So far has been easy to clean and keep looking quite nice
- Refrigerator drawers are well sized
- Freezer soft serve drawer is amazing for ice cream!
- Good bin space in the freezer

Cons:
- When the power goes and and comes back on the refrigerator beeps for quite some time. Seems unnecessary.
- The tilt on the refrigerator per setup specs leaves it with quite a visible tilt backwards. In a setup like our house where there is a cubby for the refrigerator and you walk up seeing the side, this tilt is quite noticeable. Takes away from the high end feel when the top is nearly flush with the cabinets and the bottom sticks out significantly more.\
- There's no grill/water catch under the water dispenser
- The ice in the freezer takes up the majority of the shelf space in the freezer, which also gets crowded out by the soft serve drawer (which I wouldn't get rid of!). Means you are mostly left to using only the big bin area space for food.
