This model is a replacement for EI23BC56IB8. Freezer did not have consistent temps; in addition to icemaker failure. THIIS model has more features than first one. Has 2 icemakers ad consistent temps. We have had this replacement for couple of months. Electrolux was great about replacing. My original was black and has been discontinued. Only have SS in counter depth. I have to admit, this SS has a good look; it's brushed SS with shiny handles. Not as noisy as first model. Dual icemakers a plus. Bought extra 3 yr warranty just in case. Filters are universal, so don't need to order anything different there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome refridgerator

We are a large family my husband and I live in house with our youngest daughter and we have 2 older daughter that are married and a granddaughter. We have a open door policy here and my door is always open and we always have a lot of company. This fridge meets all my needs, I'm very pleased with my fridge!!

Nice Features

We have had this refrigerator about 90 days and we have been pleased. The smooth close drawers are nice (one was broken initially but was resolved quickly under warranty) They seem to keep fruits and vegetables fresher much longer than our last fridge. Ice machine works well and is not as noisy as our last one. Lighting is very nice at night. Only drawback we could find is Freezer is not very spacious and hard to get to some items. The ice cream drawer is interesting but we do not eat much ice cream so it is a wasted space. Overall we like the fridge so far.

Electrolux Despair

I completely remodeled my kitchen several years ago and bought all Electrolux appliances. Since then I have replaced both the refrigerator and the dishwasher which both completely shut down. I am very worried about the range because I am now out of warranty. I will never recommend Electrolux to any of my friends. Sorry.

Counter depth french door refrigerator

Overall the design and functionality of this refrigerator is awesome! The only complaint I have is noise. The compressor is quite louder than my old refrigerator and with 2 ice makers...it seems as if you constantly hear ice cubes dumping, clicking, etc. Definitely not a quiet unit, but the beauty and design is great! So many great features!

The prefect fit!

We needed a fridge for our brand new home with kitchen island...the space was small!

Luckily, because it's counter-depth (shallower than most fridges) we have less chance to 'losing sight' of our items!! Less waste. It took me awhile to get used to a pull out freezer, and I'm still working on it, but it's coming along!

Beautiful, but lots of problems

I've had this fridge for about 1-1/2 years and have had 6 service calls, all for the 2 ice makers. I love the way it looks inside and out, but I would not buy it again.

Very good machine. Works well and haven't had any problems.
Wish that their was an outside smaller door to get milk out so I wouldn't have to open the big door every time and let all the cold air out.
