Beautiful Refrigerator!

First, I'll begin with the star qualities of this refrigerator - style, lighting, large capacity shelving, separate thermostat controlled drawer for meats, cheeses, beverages, etc. that keeps food fresh longer, wave touch design. This is a sleek, classy looking refrigerator with filter to keep it smelling fresh. When researching before making the purchase, while there were comparable models, the shelves of the Electroluxe were larger than other brands. The wave touch design makes the face of the unit minimal as opposed to numerous controls/features being on display, but at the touch of the screen options appear. If the door stays open too long, an alarm will sound indicating door ajar. There are convenient compartments, and a mat to keep bottles or other items stationary. There is also a quick freeze feature that allows one to get the freezer very cold in anticipation of bringing frozen food home from the grocery store!
The only issue I have with this refrigerator is the water and ice feature on the outside door. In the past there were problems with this, and I was told they had been fixed. My experience is that there is inconsistency in accessing water more often, but also sometimes ice. There have been times it stops dispensing water and sometimes both water and ice. I did not get satisfaction from the manual, and have gotten as far as getting a list of repair persons in the area. Unfortunately, every time I intend to make the call, the water starts again. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Countertop review

I recently had issues with a previously purchased Electrolux counter depth fridge and Electrolux replaced that refrigerator even though it was out of warranty. I thank them for standing by their product. Unfortunately the newer model does not have the same quality as the older model. The compressor is noticeably louder, the freezer drawers are on plastic rollers and shelving is not as sturdy. Everything in the freezer still works but opening the freezer is loud and not smooth. One has to be very careful when loading the freezer so as not to keep food below the top of the drawers/shelves. Other issue is I have a leak from the upper icemaker-it is probably condensation but it forms on the back wall below the icemaker. The features are great on this refrigerator-just wish the quality was there. We really did like our original fridge and would still have it-but the icemaker was unrepairable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad luck

I have never met so many refrigerator repairmen in my life!! I owned the previous model for 2 years and never had a reliable source of ice. The machine underwent at least 4 repairs. Electrolux replaced the refrigerator and within a month the ice maker on the new model had malfunctioned and needed a new part. The ice maker now works in the bottom, but not the top and the door doesn't shut tightly. This is a worst buy.

I would not recomend this product.
The wave did not work from the time is was delivered. Service replaced the front wave system and it still is not working. I have all Electrolux appliances thinking they were one of the upper brand products when in fact they are not. The only reason for the purchase of the refrigerator was to match the othe appliances. The only postitive thing I can comment on is your customer service people who were nice enough to help. These appliances are really Fridgidare discuised as Electrolux.

Finally have Ice

Very happy with this fridge. I finally have plenty of ice. The ice from the door is always full and ready. Had to turn off the lower ice maker since I had too much ice. You could make ice in the lower unit to have ahead for parties.
The lower temperature controlled drawer is an added benefit. Has a lot flexibility in space.

The type of ice maker is nothing but trouble. Breaks down every year. This time just 2 days after warranty. STAY AWAY FROM!!!!!!!!

New Counter Depth Refrigerator

Even though it is only a few inches shallower it is amazing how much room it frees up in my kitchen. I love the doors and storage layout. This thing is super quiet too. This refrigerator is so much better than my old one it makes me think I waited too long to replace it.
