Fun, Big, and Star Wars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as Star Wars toys/memorabilia go, this one is pretty awesome. The size of this BB-8 unit is pretty impressive.
What does it do?
Follows you around, via an IR sensor on the control and sensors on the BB-8. Make sure not to block them, or BB-8 will get upset and let you know it can't find you. There are 3 channels, which help if you experiencing interference.

Responds to voice commands, mostly with chirps and head movements. It is fun to have a conversation with every once and a while.
And you can control BB-8 manually via the remote control. Rolling it around via the sticks and getting it to make head movements and sounds with the press of a button.
My thoughts:
All in all, it is a fun toy, but I don't know how many hours of use you will get out of it. I think most of the time it will sit on the shelf as a cool art piece and pulled out from time to time to show off the cool things it can do. It would also make a great prop for a Rey or Poe costume. I love the amount of detail put in to the ball and the head.

I did have a few times where BB-8 lost its head, sudden stops can be problematic. It made kind of an low squealing noise at times, like a motor was moving slowly or something. I wish the controller felt a little less cheap and had its own rechargeable battery. Also make sure you have plenty of room, it can be tough to maneuver in tight or cluttered spaces.
If you're a Star Wars fan, the Star Wars Hero Droid BB-8 would be a great addition or start to your collection.
Pros:
Great replication for BB-8 for any Star Wars Fan to have.
Fun to control whether it is by voice commands, the follow me mode or even the remote control.

Remote could be better, no rechargeable battery and cheap feeling.
Head doesn't always stay on and can be tricky at first to set on correctly.

Toy was broken out of the box

This toy never worked and I had to return it. It kept having a "system error" anytime we tried to use the remote. This was especially upsetting on Christmas Eve as we prepared to unveil it on Christmas morning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does what its supposed to, dont know if stronger head magnets are possible but still works extremely well.
