No rocket science installation.
This unit replaced a similar one that was over 14 years old. Had to replace because the burners were more expensive that the replacement cost.

With the sealed burners, this cooktop is easy to clean. I also like having the different powered burners. Very useful for simmering sauces. I also like the fact that it's easy to move a pot from one burner to another because of the grates being one piece.

DEFECTIVE CONTROL KNOBS

We have used our appliance for less than a year and the control knobs break, because they are made of plastic with no metal protection to resist the heat the kitchen generates. We do not have kids and only me and my wife use it for breakfast and dinner. I would expect to receive replacement metal knobs from GE to avoid the same problem over and over again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
