Amazing sound quality but 1 drawback

I have had my system for a few months now. I buy nothing but Bose products. I have one complaint and that's the lack of ability of the Soundtouch theater system communicating the sound of what I'm watching on T.V to any of the soundtouch series speakers. If I'm watching the football game I would like the sound to play through the various soundtouch series speakers I have in other rooms without a T.V. I have considered switching to Sonos because of this. I would also like to see the ability to stream other music apps.

I have been building my dream home theater system and that is the primary reason I wanted to experience the BOSE SoundTouch 300 soundbar. I recently purchased a new 55” ROKU television and was now looking to begin adding additional items to continue building my dream home theater system. I have been using various Bose products for approximately 35 years – so I felt that if it was from Bose it would meet all my expectations – and it did.
However, I researched various soundbars in order to reach an informed-decision of which soundbar I felt would best fit my personal requirements and lifestyle - both current and future. Working with a certain budget in mind, the two comparably-priced, high-quality soundbars I liked best were the Bose SoundTouch 300 and the Sonos PLAYBAR. However, the Bose SoundTouch 300, in my opinion, takes top honors because it is jam-packed with just about every current feature and technology a person could possibly desire – plus designed to grow with you on into the future. The Sonos lacks 4K video compatibility, lacks Bluetooth connectivity, lacks HDMI inputs/outputs, lacks an Ethernet port, lacks USB connectivity, etc. The Bose, on the other hand, is not lacking in any way – and the sound is unparalleled.
I was a bit concerned when I looked at the first page of the quick-start guide and saw that it said to place the soundbar at least 1-3 feet away from other wireless equipment. That was a concern for me because my new 55” ROKU television is connected via Wi-Fi to my Internet router. However, I experienced no problems upon placement of the soundbar a mere six inches away from my television.
I am very satisfied with the features of the Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar. It is built with every imaginable feature and technology a person could want, plus includes a universal remote that makes switching between various sources a breeze. I love that the soundbar includes both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, plus offers HDMI inputs/outputs. I really love how easy it is to calibrate the soundbar to your room – you simply put on the ADAPTiQ headphones and the soundbar speaks to you as it fine-tunes the system's sound to your room. One moment I might be using the soundbar for my television and the next moment I'm using the soundbar to listen to streaming music. All done easily with the touch of a button with the included remote. Something I really love about Bose is that they make sophisticated products, but you don't have to be a professional to use their products. My only complaint is minor in nature – included in the box is a quick-start guide that I do not feel is adequate for setup of an elaborate, highly-sophisticated home theater system. However, using the online user manual, setup then becomes quick and easy.
I have several friends who are either high-end audio/video enthusiasts, professional sound engineers and/or recording artists – individuals I know who have high-expectations. I am so impressed with this soundbar that I have already recommended this to many of these friends.

Definitely better than my Sonos Playbar

I just received the SoundTouch 300 New Years Day and am very pleased and will be getting another one. I was hesitant at first since I already have the Sonos Playbar and sub so I started with one Soundtouch 300. After playing them side by side with the same movie I am switching back to Bose. Not only does the Bose have a better look to it and smaller, but the sound is clearer and when both are played alone without a sub, the Bose has better bass. I looked at a lot of reviews and websites to see if anyone else tried the two side by side, and am so glad I took the chance. Looks like I know will be switching my other items to the SoundTouch system.
Funny thing is, this all started because Bose had a better solution to run my outside TV through outdoor speakers as well as play music using the SA-5. Now I have to sell 7 of my Sonos products and switch them to Bose.

I've had the Soundbar and the rear speakers for about 2 months. I gave up a Bose Acustimass 10 system with a Yamaha receiver. I don't regret it at all. Great sound, right out of the box, easy set up, great looking. I hope to add the subwoofer this year. But the bass out of the soundbar is very good.

This sound bar coupled with The ACUSTIMASS300, in a larger room gives theater quality sound that gets and feels better the further away from it you move. No buyers remorse here!

Nice Upgrade

We got the Bose Soundtouch 300 to upgrade from our Samsung HW-H450. In all reality I was expecting more of a theatre like sound when watching movies. The Soundtouch has amazing clarity sound and it's very sharp, yet it's lacking in the bass department. I'm guessing this might be cause we only have the sound bar and no subwoofer. We use the Soundtouch daily in our family room and it's hooked up to our Samsung Smart TV and Apple TV4. The design is great! Not huge or bulky and having minimal hookup wires is a huge plus. The setup process is quick and pretty simple. Very easy to use and having one remote to control everything is awesome. All in all I think it's a great product, but I highly recommend to purchase the subwoofer as well.
