Returned the next day

I bought the Bose SoundTouch 300 with subwoofer because I have a couple other Bose products. Also I like the brand so I went this. The setup was complicated and also the feature that made me return the SoundTouch 300 and subwoofer was that if the system is idle for 18 minutes with no sound coming out of the SoundTouch 300 it would shut off my tv and the SoundTouch 300. There is no way to turn this feature off. I looked and saw other people had this issue also. People complained about this feature.

Purchased for my Man-cave in a garage with a 32 inch Sharp TV that was gifted to me (not of high quality) and a TiVo Mini. Needed a speaker to hear my music when working out, working on home projects and watching sport games.
Overall I was disappointed in how load the speaker can get. It is not that much louder then the TV speakers and had no change in Bass when compared to by TV. The most disappointment aspect of the speaker is the interface. The remote works only with IF and not RF making it hard to control the sound bar in large rooms (such as a garage) or when obstructed. It was also very hard to interact using only the remote. The only way to see device changes on the speaker is though 4 LED indicator lights (hard to see in a birghly light rooms sucha as a garage) rather then displaying information on the screen . If it is connects to the TV their should be some visuals (on the TV) to show Speaker information (such as if WiFi is enabled, what Bluetooth setting it is on or even what input the controller is on.) Unfortunately, the Sound Touch 300 soundbar dose none of this making it a guessing game when trying to connect new devices or making changes to the speaker settings.
Bose could have a good product here but needs to address the convenience factor. Since it has the hardware needed (with the exception of RF controls) making the changes to display speaker information on the TV should be relatively easy to fix via a software update. If and when those updates come is a different story however.
No i would not recommend this speaker to others until some of the convinces of using the speaker are addressed.

Thank you for sharing your review of the SoundTouch 300 soundbar. We appreciate you taking the time to try out the system and provide us with valuable feedback! We're sorry to hear the soundbar isn't meeting your expectations for your particular use-case. For filling a larger area with more sound and bass, we'd recommending checking out the optional Acoustimass 300 wireless bass module and Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers. These additions could certainly provide the extra boost it seems you are looking for! We strive to continuously improve our products, and want to thank you again for your feedback. Have a great day!

After demoing a few Soundbars. I finally decided to see what Mozart sounded best on. The Bose wins.
This is the winner plus it has bluetooth support as well as WiFi. It’s the best. 100% beautiful sound. I watched the new season of Game of Thrones. It sounds amazing. Recent update just happened too. Yesterday.
Very impressed.

Sound touch 300 home theater system

I got the soundbar, sub woofer and the invisible speakers. Overall i must say that Bose has really pioneered in terms of high quality sound and great user experience. The sound bar is made of high quality material and the sound output is also really good. could wall mount it, not an issue. The sound experience is best when placed next to the sound bar, though maintain a 3 feet distance. The ARC works great, make sure you plug ARC on your TV and ARC on the sound bar. Also, don't forget to turn on ARC in your smart TV settings as most TV's have the ARC turned off by default. We had best sound experience with the HDMI cable provided by Bose compared to their Optical cable as well as Rocketfish HDMI cable. The Invisible 300 speakers are excursively designed to provide best user experience and we are extremely pleased with it so far. The set of 3, the sound bar, the sub woofer and the 2 invisible 300 rear speaker are optimally designed to give the best user experience. Make sure you connect all the 3 and then do the Adapt IQ set up. Without the Adapt IQ set after connecting all the 3 your experience could be not as good or bad. You don't have to perform the Adapt IQ set up 3 times, just once after connecting all the 3. Rear speakers are also wall mountable. Their smart phone app is very easy to use and the remote you get is universal remote and can easily program your other devices including the smart tv. Overall we are giving 5 star. Just play a 5.1 surround sound test video from youtube etc and you would be thrilled for sure. Perfect theater like experience. You will easily know the difference with and without either the rear speakers or sub woofer.

Amazing Sound

Length of ownership:1 month
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up this system (soundbar, 300 base module, and virtually invisible surround speakers) about a month ago. It was replacing an older lifestyle system and I wasn’t really sure if this would compare but man, was I pleasantly surprised. Sound is fantastic. It is crystal clear and the bass is fantastic. I know some reviews of the surround speakers have been bad, but I think they sound perfect. You only hear them During parts of the movie when there sounds coming from behind...just like they are supposed to. Others have complained that you can barely hear them but I believe they function just as well as the lifestyle surround speakers. Just my two cents worth, but I would purchase this set up again if I had to do it all over again.

Terrible set up instructions

The sound is incredible when it is working. I lose power or accidentally shut it off and it doesn’t seem to remember any settings. The instructions are just plain terrible. The phone app shows everything works fine but all it can control is on and off. It doesn’t recognize the hdmi source from the tv half the time much like right now hence the horrible review. I spend so much time resetting up that it’s seriously not worth it to me.
