I have had many bose systems and this one is the best yet. The sound over the years keeps getting better and better. They systems last a long time and its non-stop awesome sound. Thanks Bose for making this your premium product. All I ask is to start making them in the USA again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worth every penny - no joke. The way they small sound bar fills up the whole room , there is no need for anything else. Impressive will be a nose fan for life now. Can’t wait to try out the sub and rear speakers.

Shocking....another solid Bose product!!!

Just got this unit set-up and it exceeded my expectations. For comparison I went with the complete system here: SoundTouch 300, Acoustimass 300, Virtually Invisible 300t. Sure it's expensive, but you can always sell a kidney....trust me it's worth it.
First and foremost let me address some bad reviews specifically. Some have mentioned that this unit is difficult to set up. That could surely be the case if you lack common sense all together and probably read the back of a pop tart box for the microwave instructions. I spent more time unpacking everything and plugging it in then I did actually setting up and pairing. These items are packed extremely well, among the best I've ever seen. From the time I had everything positioned and plugged in, it took me maybe 5 minutes to power on, pair the different units, and get it setup from that point. Then it was maybe another five minutes for the ADAPTiQ (which threw me a curve in that I did not expect both the Acoustimass 300 bass module and the Virtually Invisible 300 rear surround speakers to pair at the same time together). After that its user's choice if you opt for programming the remote. In all fairness the so called "universal remote" is a bit weak and could be better; however, I really do not use said remote since I predominately use my AppleTV remote. There are much better universal remotes out there from companies that focus on things like universal remotes and not speaker tech.
Other's have mentioned connectivity issues with WIFI. Again common sense needs to prevail here, but hey there are some morons out there. You shouldn't write a negative review about this product based on connectivity when you have a weak signal at your desired location for this product - that should be a negative review on your wireless router. Regardless, if you are running multiple WIFI items in the vicinity of this unit you should try and deconflict them on different bands if your router supports multiple signal bands as best you can. You definitely want to be able to connect this unit to your WIFI if for no other reason than updating its software/firmware as applicable. If need be and close by, there is an LAN connection on the back of the soundbar to get you "on the line..."
As for connecting the soundbar to your TV, you are definitely going to want to utilize a HDMI ARC connection. If you don't have one you should look into a different type of soundbar. In this set up you end up plugging most of your products directly into your TV vice an A/V receiver and the ARC connection takes care of the rest. I have a Sony TV and have not experienced any issues with the ARC connection between the two systems others have mentioned (which apparently mostly resides with Samsung TV's - guess you should have gotten a better TV engine with a Sony machine vice the thousand smart functions of a Samsung which you probably only use two of). More common sense here...if your TV does not have an HDMI ARC connection and you try and use a regular HDMI connection it will not work as advertised. Using the optical connection for something like this really is not worth it, so if you don't have a HDMI ARC connection, abandon all hope...
It is true that the unit will not throw down as much bass you might expect, especially if you don't have the Acoustimass 300 bass module connected. Even with the Acoustimass 300 bass module connected the base is not going to be making your lungs vibrate like a car audio system on blast rolling down A1A beach front avenue, but it will deliver extremely crisp and well balanced bass with the rest of the media you are playing. You just have to search the Bose forums on how to increase the bass level for the system because the included instructions do not specify how to do it, but it's super easy. I do not have an issue with a user's manual being less than perfect since I prefer to get anything like this digitally from a manufacturer's website. A quick setup guide is more than sufficient to get your up and running. After all most people end up discarding all the literature that comes with products anyways.
As for any of the other multitude of knick-knack complaints, I updated my system the moment I brought it online so either those items are one-off's, or software updates have been released to fix any other issues that I came across in reading reviews before my purchase.
As for the pro's....
This system delivers extremely crisp, deep, and well balanced sound. I have been listening to music from the other room for hours and thought someone was breaking in at times, kids broke something, wife fell down the stairs...but NO, it is just an aspect of the song that I had never heard before. Who knew Snoop Dogg used maracas...? Han Zimmer wants you to listen to his music with a unit like this. I usually shy away from listening to sound systems in the store turned up relatively loud (you know shopper's etiquette and all - some people should take notes here), but I made an exception here. The sound really fills the room. You will get your first experience with this when you do the ADAPTiQ setup as the system adjusts itself to your personal listening environment.
Just as others have said, the design here is sleek and clean. The wireless connectivity of the Acoustimass 300 and the Virtually Invisible 300t really gives you the flexibility to put speakers where you want without wires all over the place (save the power cords). The soundbar itself has very little displayed on it (which some might not like) and serves as to not distract you from watching TV, movies, etc. If you really need to know what your volume control numerical value is you have other issues in play.
At the end of the day you just need to pony up some cash and grab yourself a setup and see err hear everything for yourself if it is in your wheel house. If you are not satisfied then first book yourself a session with a psychiatrist and then return everything, easy. For those of us that are more reasonable, optimistic, don't make a point to live our life pointing out little negatives on everything, and don't mind paying for quality products --- you will be rewarded with a quality system that you will enjoy for years to come.
Of course if anything changes for the worse I will update my review, but I will still be out that kidney.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this soundbar 4 months ago and I feel it's the right time to write a review after spending decent amount of time enjoying the output. The vocals are crisp and don't get distorted in the music behind. The bass output is loud enough to disturb your neighbors. When I play songs from Spotify it produces awesome output. Likewise with Bluetooth it's more or less similar output performance. Coming to audio output from TV, my soundbar is connected via HDMI to a Samsung MU8000 series TV. The audio output from TV is good for normal drama oriented movies but when you watch action movies like Avengers, it's in a different league altogether. You get the real theater audio experience. Cons: I wish it has a digital display to indicate the current audio level. Improving the time to switch from Bluetooth to tv or wireless audio.

1 HDMI, Please give us more!

The unit sounds great. Love how Bose made the units modular, so I can buy only the pieces I need. But 1 HDMI in the unit completely baffles me. Other manufactures have multiple HDMI ports with auto sensing features. My LG OLED tv only have 3 HDMI ports, and I am in need of 4 ports. I hate using HDMI switchers as that would be another thing to worry about. If this unit had extra HDMI it would have been a perfect 10!

Had so much fun with this bar and sub....former multiple first place usac and iasca winner in car audio 251_500 watt pro ....i was super sceptical but bought bose speakers because I always wanted some high quality gear for a great price.... I have to admit I can smell the sub breaking in....it gets off!! Don't listen to the negative sub volume controls ...there is plenty of control....you just have to read the directions ...
