Great Sound

Right out of the gate, the sound on the SoundTouch 300 is excellent. The sound from movies, tv, and streaming music is rich and full from top to bottom. I originally intended to use the Soundbar predominantly for movies but found it to be perfect for watching TV late at night with the clear voice feature while the kids and wife were in bed. I also loved the sound when playing music through 2 different online streaming services. The best part is I did not have a Sub hooked up to the system. Now I can see where having a sub would a more punch and depth to the low end but I was extremely happy with how well the low end sounded with the Soundbar by itself.
The soundbar looks beautiful. The lights on the front are useable yet minimalist all at the same time which I happen to love. I'm not looking for a bright light shining back at me when watching a movie in the dark. They are there though and let you what is going on with the device. Just bright enough. The piano black type top finish looks slick without being gaudy. Whoever designed this did their homework which can be difficult because appearance is such a subjective thing. I have it set up with a black TV and dark cherry wood TV stand and it looks perfect.
The remote control is again minimalist in appearance but complete as a stand alone remote for all of your devices.
I found myself controlling the music streaming and Soundbar using the Bose Soundtouch apps for an Android phone and Windows 10 machine. As the phone is on Android 7 I thought there might be an issue but it worked without a glitch.
So why 4 stars. 2 things led me to dock a star. The first was the setup process to get the device working wirelessly. The device setup without issue when connecting to the tv and powering it on. When I went to connect it to my wife network I was unable to do so with either of the included apps. What worked for me was plugging my computer in directly using a stand usb to micro usb to the back of the soundbar. This did the trick. Unfortunately I spent some time online trying to figure out how to do it with the apps first. I've since read that there is a way to put the device in alternate setup mode which resolves this issue. I also noticed that Bose updated both apps and updated the firmware on the device in the last couple of weeks and this may resolve this issue as well. Lastly, at this price point I'd like to see more hdmi in ports. As my tv does not have an hdmi return port I ended up using an optical connection which worked just fine. I think I would prefer to plug all of devices into the Soundbar and then use the 1 hdmi out on the soundbar to my TV. Again not a deal breaker but worth noting.
At the end of the day this would be my first choice at this price point and probably at higher price points. The sound is just that good and the device just looks that great. Well done Bose!

Dynamic, Sleek and Impressive

The Bose SoundTouch 300 has transformed our family room into a realistic version of being at the game but in the comfort of our own home. Never before had we realized the dynamic sound that we were missing by only using the sound system through our TV. The SoundTouch 300 brought home our game day win like never before!
Assembly:
Straight forward, no nonsense assembly even for the technically challenged. Follow the easy instruction booklet to connect the few wires and then set up the system for your room with Adaptiq. The instructions are easy to follow with pictures to illustrate where/how to connect. Unpacking and connection of wires took less than 10 minutes. Once connected you run the Adaptiq setup. This technology has you move around the room with a wired headset to fine tune the sound to the specifications of the room it is placed. Do not skip this setup as it is key to the quality of sound.
Quality of Sound:
The first time I connected the SoundTouch and tuned into from regular TV speakers to the soundbar, I was blown away. Simply amazing, full bodied sound that immerses you within the activity of the program or music. The sound was 10x louder and amplified. There was absolutely no latency that caused delay in the speech of the person matching the sound. The remote is easy to learn and use to cater the sound to your liking.
Use:
Our family loves TV and music. We have used the SoundTouch while streaming movies, regular TV programing and listening to music. The better quality sound of the recording or streaming you are using will surely impact the quality of sound emitted by the SoundTouch. Our movie experience has been enhanced tenfold as the SoundTouch allows the sound to bounce off the walls and for you to feel the beats and booms.
Additional Features:
Bose offers you access to the SoundTouch via many methods. The remote, computer program download, and app download are all available to ensure you are connected via any method you enjoy. The phone app makes accessing the system super seamless with a quick touch.

When receiving the Bose Soundbar 300 I was expecting just a little sound to boost the TV or play music through my living room. Boy was I surprised when my house inside and out was filled with sound without using Maximum volume. There is some type of sonic device that allows you to calibrate the soundbar to work the best in your home. To me it seemed like a dolphins echo locator. After completing that task the sound bounced off the walls. I would watch a movie and feel like I am at the theaters. The quality of the speaker gets a big fat 100% it is sturdy a little heavy but not to bad. I do not have to worry about my kids breaking it. The Bose Soundbar 300 surpassed all quality standards I had in mind. The design is perfect, the Bose Soundbar 300 fit right under my TV with no problem. The Bose Soundbar 300 did not take to much room everyone that came but was amazed at the sound that came from that little bar. My soundbar is very easy to use not to mention the remote control is universal with all the codes located in the manual. I can't say that it was lacking in any features due to it going over and beyond what I could have imagined. My daughters love having dance parties blasting music on the our Bose Soundbar 300. I recommend this product to all family and friends. I give this product 5+ stars.

Awesome Sound!!

My first impression is that SoundTouch 300 has awesome sound.....of course it is a Bose. The SoundTouch 300 pairs well with all of my bluetooth device (iPhone 6S, Samsung Tab4 and Samsung S6). The sound quality is what I expected to hear from this soundbar. Calibrating the soundbar to my living was a added great feature. Be patient when you are calibrating, it can take some time to get it right. I can hear all the background noise as if I'm in the theater. This was not funny, but, I was watching a horror movie and my neighbors thought I was in trouble and knocked on my door to see if I was ok. I told the neighbors that I was trying out my new soundbar by Bose. That tells you the quality of the sound this soundbar produces. The SoundTouch is great for watching NFL and college football games. I listen to my music as well through SoundTouch. I watch a Justin Timberlake concert and you felt like you were at the concert in your living room.The Bose app on your phone can be tricky to pair but I eventually got it to work. The size of the SoundTouch is a bit bigger than the average soundbar on the market, but for the amount of power and sound this produces I think its worth the size.

I bough the 300 sound bar and 300 base and all I needed to do is hook it up with a fiber optic cable to the TV and it has great sound for everything played on the TV

Worked fine for 6 months Rearanged my room and had Sony tv and sound bar disconnected for 5 hours when I reconnected I had know sound from sound bar Same connection Connected with hdmi arc cable from Bose no sound I have sound from music source Connected optical cable and I have sound but it's not the same from TV

Amazing soundBar

I just like to start off with this is an amazing product i was blown away at the store when i purchased this sound var amazing sound rich and crisp i can hear every little sound its just amazing.
Pros: Great sound ,hate using T.V without the soundbar , i think the remote is mad well as well, i love the design, the glass on top makes it look really nice.
Cons: no buttons on sound bar so if your dog chews your remote your screwed lol and the same remote is hard to find. also i have one issue that's by far the worst the sound bar always disconnects from the ack port on my TV i was reading that it is a common problem i wish it would get fixed cuz id really like to use my HDMI cable for sound.because in all honesty when you watch tv with the blue tooth the sound is off when they talk. Bluetooth with music works great
