Sound quality is great

Excellent sound quality and easy to setup. HDMI ARC makes it easy to connect to TV with multiple sources.
Bass is okay but not great, probably because its relative small size. Acoustimass 300 is relatively expensive but a nice way to upgrade the set.
IR remote has very short distance (about 15 feet) and requires direct line-of-sight. Because setting up ADAPTiQ requires the IR remote, I found it very difficult to setup ADAPTiQ because SoundBar didn't pickup the IR remote.
Glassy surface looks very nice but also prone to fingerprints. SoundBar comes with a fabric for cleaning. Despite that, I actually really like the minimal design.
Setting up Wi-Fi using SoundTouch app need multiple retries. The speaker goes into Wi-Fi ad-hoc mode but my phone is not able to connect to that network. What's worse, the SoundTouch quit the setup mode after 30 seconds of inactivity. I tried 10+ times before my phone can lock on a stable connection with the SoundBar. After that, setup is a breeze.
I don't have Pandora/Spotify, so music from my phone can only be streamed thru Bluetooth. Wi-Fi is pretty useless in my scenario.

I love the sound bar acoustics, for I also have the acousticmass bass and the "invisible speakers". is there any instructions, Youtube videos or bose that can show hot to get the most out if control features. Bose insructional video is for basic features? Where are some advanced options or just more?

Great Sound - Painful Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TL;DR Great sound, very annoying, painful setup. Be prepared to do online research.
I have the ST300, AcoustiMass, and Virtually Invisible surround speakers. The instructions are very basic and easy to follow but the setup processes did not work out of the box. It took 3 or 4 attempts to pair the acoustimass unit, 3 attempts to pair the surround speakers, and at least 20 to get the stupid thing on wifi.
At one point I had the subwoofer paired (first try) and working but decided to do a factory reset (had to find online) in an attempt to gain wifi connectivity. After the reset it took another 3 attempts to get the subwoofer paired again. I plugged in the rear speakers but got distracted and didn't attempt to pair until a couple of hours later. They would not pair at all. Turns out they are in pairing mode when first connected but they completely shut down after a duration of time < 2 hours. After trying to pair a few times I just completely unplugged them, shut down the sound bar, waited a couple of minutes, then plugged them back in. Tada! They worked.
The wifi connectivity was the most frustrating part of the setup process. The pairing issues above are relatively common with wireless/bluetooth devices. Again, the instructions for wifi connectivity through the app were straight forward but did not work out of the box. I tried the instructions in the book, alternate instructions online, factory reset, and every other variation I could think of. Nothing would work. I ended up connecting the soundbar to the router via ethernet and pushed all the updates hoping that would fix something. Still no wifi connectivity. After a ridiculous number of attempts the wifi setup process just magically worked (using an alternate method I found online)!
It's great now that everything is working! I just pray that I never have to factory reset and that I never lose wifi connectivity.

Performance is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, I just bought this complete system with subwoofer and VI300. After pairing and calibration, the bass module gives almost no bass effect. I tried verifying the bass option from minimum to maximum using remote control. I spend 3-4 hours calibrated again but no use. Later somewhere in a blog I read that I have to cover the head set with a thick cover or towel and then again calibrated for all the possible 5 listening positions. This time bass working.....it is working great..........But I am sad that I have to have a work around as if I had bought a cheap product. It is paining. Second thing is that i am not sure that other speakers and sound bar are calibrated properly as the head set was fully covered and wrapped around with a thick cloth.

Excellent sound bar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound bar by itself is really good. I have used the sound bar by itself for over a month before adding the subwoofer. The audio is lot clearer and precise with the subwoofer since the sound bar is not burdened to drive and produce the bass in such a small enclosure.

Sound is Epic, Other Things are Not

The sound is incredible. Bravo.
However, I have a few issues.
Subwoofer doesn't always connect. I have to unplug it, then plug it back in again. (Yes, I moved it away from other electronics.)
The lack of a volume display is not something I thought that I'd miss. But I do. A lot. Please put a volume number on the app.
This unit should be capable of all the different settings that the other systems are (like the volume settings). And every setting should be available throug the app. The whole notion of having to memorize what the different combinations of flashing LEDs is a bit user unfriendly.
But the sound is amazing. The metal and glass body is awesome.

Great Sound

Great Great Great Soundbar...I love the sound of the music playing thru it..It's really clear and it doesn't have to be turned all the way up to hear it in another room...I wanted to try out the soundbar because I am a stay at home mom, and love being able to listen to music while I clean without being tied down by wires...I have this 4 stars only because I couldn't for the life of me get it connected to my Tv...other than that everything worked great

Amazing sound!

I am really amazed at the quality of sound that the Bose SoundTouch 300 provides alone without any additional speakers. I have a very large living room that I calibrated it to and it not only sounds amazing in there but through the whole house with the volume not turned up completely. I can't honestly tell you just how loud it will go because while turning it up it was so loud that i couldn't stand it anymore and started turning it back down. But even that loud the sound was crystal clear. The thing i have found the most amazing about it is that my elderly father who has a very hard time hearing loves to listen to music. All the other speakers we have that he listens to if we turn them loud he can hear the words that are being sang as long as he is sitting close to the speakers. The sound quality with this soundbar he is being able to hear it no matter where he goes through out the house. I didn't think it was possible to find something to let him enjoy his music so thoroughly again. The only complaint i have had with it was the instructions that come with it in the box tells you very little and leave you confused on how to set it up but that was easy to fix by coming to the Bose website they have very detailed instructions on how to do everything here. I would recommend this product to anyone even to people with hearing problems.
