hello barbie nightmare house

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toy at christmas I have gotten this toys three times but none have worked ruined my daugthers christmas and the wifi will just not work we hated this it sucked we still do not want it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

More like Hello NIGHTMARE!

Received this for my daughters fifth birthday. Imagine her excitement. Assmebly was easy, but that's about the only easy thing. Constant error codes. Had to do a factory reset twice. Then the stupid door error code. Can't play with house when barbie is screaming about the doors being assembled wrong. Which they weren't. Attempted "fixing" door, now one is broken. Hopefully a replacement will come soon but I'm at the point where I'm wondering if we should just pack it in and get the older, less techy model. At least my kids could play with it. Listen to the reviews and AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE. My daughter is so bummed her favorite birthday present is unuseable.

LOVE OUR DREAM HOUSE

I was going to buy a different dream house for my daughter's main Christmas present then Nana found this one and insisted it was the one. It is amazing. Love the interaction. Stays connected to our WIFI very well. Love the story modes. My daughter loves discovering new things when she plays with it and we have had it since December. It will be a part of our household for many years to come. Keep adding features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

WTH IS GOING ON!?

My daughter received this for her birthday and it starts off with Error Code 20.. apparently the restroom floor isn’t connected right! I checked all the connections and it’s still saying Error 20!!

Worse thing I ever bought !!!! Does not work properly, will not connect .Hate it . My granddaughter can not even play with it .

Not worth the price tag

In theory, this house should truly be a dreamhouse with all of the capabilities it promises. Promises aren't always reality though. I had it set up directly in front of our router and we will still get error codes. It is loud, so a volume control would have been nice. My biggest complaint is for a house that is made for kids, it doesn't have voice recognition, so it rarely understands my daughter's commands. To solve this issue, I've had to pre-record voice memos for her to press. Which takes away from the "fun" of talking to this over-priced home.

Extremely problematic item!!!

Brought it for Christmas, called to complain about "Error Code 11", was told to send back and we received a new one. The new one just started with "Error Code 11" as well and if you're familiar with it, once you hear that error code NOTHING else works whether you choose to use the app or not. We tried not using the app and still NOTHING. To top it off, the button next to the staircase keeps moving around. My daughter pushed it ONCE and it went inside the stairs. My husband had to open it up to get it out and get it working again, but it's still very lose. I understand products are basically made cheap and sold expensive, but this mark up is WAY higher than what it's worth. This was $299+ down the DRAIN!!! I hate that my daughter had such high expectations of her doll house and Mattel did NOT deliver. DO NOT BUY!!!

BIGGEST CHRISTMAS DISAPPOINTMENT

Edit | Delete This Hello Dreamhouse was the BIGGEST CHRISTMAS DISAPPOINTMENT EVER! My daughter had the old version of a Barbie Dreamhouse (w/ manual sliding elevator) She'd had it for several years and then she discovered the Hello Dreamhouse (Voice Command/Interactive). She waited patiently for over 7 months until Christmas and was super excited to play with it. SHE NEVER GOT THE CHANCE!! After 1 hour to set up the house, NO CONNECTION EVEN AVAILABLE FOR WIFI. We reset this thing 10 times, changed rooms a couple times, hard reset, internet research on how to fix it for over 4 hours and NO FIX. She was upset, but didn't cry (EVEN THOUGH SHE WANTED TO). A 7 year old waiting for OVER 7 MONTHS to get this and it wont work!! I will be contacting the company tomorrow!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MATELL!!
