Can't stop playing with Dreamhouse

My 11 year old daughter wanted this dream house so bad. The cost was pretty high but it was worth it. Its sad to read all these bad comments but she absolutely loves it and so does all the other kids that come over and play. I love that she still has an imagination and I enjoy playing with her as well. You definitely should visit you tube for other commands that aren't listed in the directions.

Ruined Christmas

Does not work! Kept getting error code. After talking to two representatives was given the same instructions for resetting, still did not work. This is a total waste of money! It ruined my daughter’s Christmas.

Hours of storytelling play!

We bought the dollhouse for the winter holidays. This was a huge hit. Now it has been a couple of months, and this is still the number one toy my daughters play with. Not only the commands are various, but the dollhouse can enter in a choice of stories that my daughters continue. It can also become a huge party! My daughters wish the song and light show would last longer because it is too fun. Each time a friend comes back, she is like:"let's go play with the dollhouse!". Even her best friend, a 7y old boy, loves the party modes of the dollhouse. I am quite impressed because I did not really know what to expect. I just read that the elevators go up, the stairs become a slide and there is a robotic chandelier, and I thought that was enough!! It is much more. The voice of the dollhouse is carefully chosen, super fun when she does not know the answer.
One issue, is that the child has to talk without any interruption, even a little motion can interfere with the speech detection. But they know that and use that as a play pattern, trying to make the dollhouse not understand each others. A few times the dollhouse explained pieces were not attached properly and that the children had to ask parents for help, but now my 6y old daughter repairs it on her own (basically just snap back the pieces of the house that are connected together electronically).
What a well made and well designed toy! Congrats to Mattel, it was a daring toy and what a success at home. I just wish there was a software update with more stories, more music, and pre-designed shows!

Not worth the money

I just bought this for my 6yr old daughter as a Christmas present, we've only had it put together for two days and it keeps telling us error connecting to Wi-Fi and code 11. Then it will work for a little. So frustrating and my daughter is very sad about it

Disappointed

The things this dream house is capable of are amazing. However, it has been a problem from the minute it was assembled. First, it wouldn’t connect to WiFi. After spending over an hour on the phone with support they offered to give us a refund but were unable to replace the house. This was not an option considering this was the thing my 7 year old wanted most for Christmas. Miraculously it began working. Now that it’s working, the doors slip off of the gears and have to be repaired EVERY SINGLE day. Not only is this frustrating, considering the expense of this product, but it’s extremely inconvenient. The sound is also very loud and there is no option to turn it down. I would not recommend this product. In addition to it not working as it’s supposed to, the support is NOT helpful at all. If my daughter didn’t love it so much (when it’s avtually working) I would definitely send it back for a refund. This experience has definitely altered my opinion of the Mattel and Barbie brands. Very disappointed!

My 5 Year Old Loves It

Worst toy I have purchased

I bought this for my daughter for her 8th Birthday and we have after 6 months still not able to get it to work.
It continues to give Error 20 that the kitchen floor is not set properly.
Waste of money!! Cannot wait to toss this out!!!

i bought this house for my daughter (6yrs old)for christmas since it was one and only thing she wanted it is not worth its prize its more so like false advertisement the house does not work we spent xmas all morning and afternoon trying to get it to conect to wi fi and for it to do voice comands the last hr before my daughters bedtime worked great but then she wakes up excited to play with it and the nightmare is all over again to not listening to any voice comands im really dissapointed because now she is upset about her christmas gift not working how its expected to work if i could rate no stats i would
