Quiet and nice looking (no, not a personal ad)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a 10-year old Kenmore 80 series washer with this beautiful GE product. It really is very nice looking and has a clean user interface. We've run about six loads of laundry of various types and sizes through it over the last couple of days. I am amazed at how clean the clothes get with so little water.
The washer is very quiet in all modes. This is probably because it weighs 400 lbs. Tip your delivery men appropriately.
One thing to be aware of is that most of the wash cycles are over 1 hour in length. Coming from a top loader, this was a bit surprising, but it actually works out nicely because it matches roughly the dryer cycle time (we kept our old dryer, which is working fine.)
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just switched from a top loader. Put my throw rugs in which were always difficult in top loader. Never really got completely clean in my top loader. Rugs came out cleaner than they ever did in my top loader. Pleasantly surprised.

Love the "Vibration Control"

This new GE front loader is much quieter and does not shake the house. Plus the "basket clean" and "spin & dry" features are very nice additions.

Very basic, non-sensor washing, takes longer to wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer was a replacement under my home appliance warranty service. It is working OK so far, after less than 1-month of use, though it is very basic. It washes clothes the same amount of time regardless of how much load you put; takes longer to wash as compared to my previous washer. After the 3rd time I used it, I notice some lints collecting/sticking around the rubber gasket inside the front-loading cover. The rubber gasket seems to be soft and malleable; hopes this is sturdy enough and will last for quite a while.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
