Best washing machine to get clean clothes fast

This was the best washing machine I have ever used! Stain removal, water efficiency, ran quiet, fast cycle time, clean cloths. Heavy duty, could put King Comforters in there. Purchased in 2007 and ran great for 20 years until door locked. Need a washer immediately and made the mistake of buying a GE top load that was a lemon. Now after 7 service visits in 6 months, look for this GFWH1400DOWW model to replace
I would recommend this to a friend!

Never buy a side load

Door locks and is unable to open a lot and I say this as someone who has owned this washer for 2 months.

I love the low water usage !!!

I knew the water usage would be lower compared to my older top loader. That machine took 45 gallons to wash and then 45 gallons to rinse. Unscientifically used 5 gallon buckets to determine this. I found this washer online used and took a chance. Previous owner say he had no problems with it, he was upgrading to newer appliances. Unfortunately I did not realize how much his dog shed, until I began to clean out the door gasket and the little drain. Anyhow, today 1/25/2020 I connected 3 drain hoses to the washer, put the end into the tub and after the wash of 2 jeans, several underwear, one coat all on cold cycle, I measured a total of 14 gallons used.

Some bolts rusted after only 4 years and damaged the tub. Now it leaks water every time it's used. The repair cost is more than the washer. For the price, I expected at least an average life span. It didn't even make it halfway.

Piece of junk

Bought it four years ago. Two years into use mysterious grease looking stains started to appear on clothes. Turns out the ball bearing were leaking oil. Also fixing this will involved replacing the whole drum. Two days ago the motor control board got burnt. To replace it will cost as much as the machine.

Tub bearing failure

Whatever happen to quality and why would GE no longer supply bearings and seal ONLY.You have to buy complete rear tub assy. If the bearing goes out you are better off getting a new washer. This machine is built as throw away machine.
