ice maker troubles

ice maker has given us problems since day 1. 7years ago bought a new frig this summer now the 'spare' has a 'ghost' opening the ice flap and the control panel is flashing repairman coming today
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The water and ice dispensers work great and the cooling functions work great. Shelves and drawers seem well built and sturdy.
