[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this unit that replaced a Kitchenaid that had aged and had a failed icemaker. We like the three-door arrangement. The bottom freezer seems more roomy that the side-by-side arrangement of our older unit. My only irritation comes with the lid on the bottom full-width crisper(?) tray in the fridge section. This lid works fine if you pull the tray out by the tray lip (which raises the lid), but pops out if you pull the tray out by the lid, and then I need to re-set it by feel because I cannot see the connection. It should be more securely affixed to the tray body. Other than this snag, we like the unit very much.

I love the refrigerator. It is easy to operate and has a larger capacity for ice making when compared to the like product that it replaced. I was disappointed that there was not a dairy compartment and the inside is smaller than the one i replaced but that is not a deal breaker. It is very easy to keep clean and the door controls are easy to use.

Everything about this product has been great except the ice dispenser. For some reason the ice cubes are not separating therefore you get a block of 3, 4, and sometimes 5 cubes stuck together. When that block of ice is processed by the dispenser it clogs up the holding tray or the door chute. I have tried adjusting the temperature both ways, but that did not correct the issue. Other then that issue, the product looks good, works great and every other feature works.

My old side by side was just so hard to store anything in it, no room and no space for anything it seemed. I have so much more room and a much cleaner refrigerator. If I move I'm not leaving my Amama behind!

Works as Expected, Except Door, Ice/Water Dispenser

We've had this refrigerator for over 6 months. It was bought for esthetics, replacing an excellent older model with the same basic features. My complaint, why engineer a door open alarm instead of a door that simply closes 99.9% of the time? Too much concern given to left door being closed a certain way, or it is left open for hours (can't always hear alarm). Old reliable made ice without fail, this one requires that you remove ice cover from time to time to unjam ice cubes. It's pretty and functional in all other aspects.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Amana refrigerator replaced another Amana that was approaching 38 years old without one service call. Fantastic. This unit is slightly larger than the one it replaced and had to trim off the cabinet to fit it in which caused some consternation, but now that its in and running, my loves it. All who have seen it so far are impressed as well. We expect as good as service out of this unit as the one it replaced, after all, it's an Amana and we have had good service out of all of the Amana's we had.
