Didn't work in no time

Worked for about 6 months of weekly use then will charge but not connect to pc or microphone. Not buying another because of price and have moved on to better other brand camera anyway.

bought this for recording my voice during rides but the jack/socket doesn't state it's specific meaning every commonly used mic will not work with this so you have to buy a seperate adapter. other than that it works as expected. great product just needs information updated to avoid frustration.

Correct function of the adapter only in power on mode of the camera

The adapter allows me to record better sound through an external microphone. When using the adapter with the GoPro 5 Hero black camera, it is necessary to start recording in power on mode. If I use the shutter button to quickly start recording, the camera only records sound on the first shot. The following shots are without sound. The user needs to be alerted to this programming error.

It's your only option. It works but is bulky and expensive.

If you want an external mic on your GoPro (in my case the Hero 5 Session, this is your only option. It seems expensive for what it is and it's quite bulky to work into a helmet cam setup. How we, all that being said, it does work well and will hopefully last a good long time. Definite downside that you have to remove the door for the SD card and USB-C port. You loose the weather protection. I've had some sound quality issues but hopefully a better mic will solve this.

While charging the battery, the mic captures a noise that is not present when not charging the battery or using the battery without charging.

So i have 2 different wireless microphones with USB-C that does not work with the GoPro MediaMod.
So i buy this adapter so of course it will work with this the. No, it does not.
So maybe i have to use MediaMod (which is in itself an adepter) so i can you GoPro Own Adapter (this product) and i have to buy maybe a third adapter for this one to make the mic works?

These wireless Mics (and other i have tried with cable) works with all other devices i have tested them on (mobile iphone and android, tablet, PC, Macbook) but nothing works with GoPro?
i have a mic with cable that works with MediaMod When i use another cable adapter. This cable Mic does not work with this adapter and even with the wire adapter that works straight into the mediaMod does not work this this adapter.
But i want to use a Wireless Microphone thats why i bought this adapter.
