As a motovloger I need this to be as small as possible. I like that it has a 90 degree bend, but that's the only good quality about this adapter. I'll buy extra batteries and change them as needed like I have always done. Please loose the power pass through to reduce the size.

The Reason I Won't Be Buying a Hero 5 Session

This adapter is the entire reason I won't buy the Hero 5 Session. I wan't it for Vlogging on my motorbike and it's just way too big, overpriced and turns a waterproof action camera into basically a camera (as you have to remove section of the outer housing which protects the connection ports in order to fit it)
You can't make the smallest action camera in the world and then add the largest mic adapter in the world too it and expect people to want it!!
Come on GoPro.... get a grip!!

This thing is everything but not usefull. It is so massive, soooo huge. C'mon guys who df built / designed that?
I am a GoPro newbie bought a lot stuff for it, was disappointed about the bad battery policy but this is definitely a NOGO if you want to use a external mic on a GoPro which hangs on a helmet or on the chesty.
I really think about to sell all the stupid GoPro Stuff.

(GER) Zu groß und zu schwer um es am Helm oder gar mit einer Gimbal zu benutzen....

Am Helm kann man den Adapter schon noch verwenden, aber wer die Betriebsgeräusche von einer Gimbal beseitigen will sollte damit rechnen dass der Adapter die Funktion der Gimbal beeinflusst oder auch komplett behindert. An GoPro: Wer auch immer das designet hat, hatte keine Ahnung wo GoPro Kameras eingesetzt werden.... Der, der das Durchgehen lassen hat, sollte sich vielleicht überlegen ob er nicht lieber Bäcker geworden wäre. :D

This adapter is ridiculously huge. At nearly the size of my Hero Session 5, it kind-of defeats the purpose of using a compact action camera.
