Seems a bit disappointing that you cant simply plug in an external mic. You have to add an additional 50 pounds to your camera cost.

The mic adaptor does what it says on the box. I've coupled it with a GoPro cage from Ulanzi and it works a treat.

It should be built into the camera

Works well but bulky on the side of the hero 5. It came un plugged .
Not a streamline system and feels unnecessary as the camera should just work with the mic without extra bits. Setting up my plane with this makes this makes this harder messy

Thanks for the feedback. And, yes, the mic adapter and making it work on a plane can be tricky. We recommend the Media Mod, as this allows an external mic to be plugged in and you can mount the mic on the Mod.

Noise issue

Your phone I use, I seem to get noise in the audio. When I use the same microphones on different devices I don’t get it. Is this a flaw of the product?
