As big as the camera itself!

This adapter is a terrible design. It is nearly as big as the camera itself and the short length of its cable makes it's practicality impossible. I bought this camera for recording video and sound in compact measures so why is this unit's design so unefficient? Big design mistake, big customer satisfaction problem. I can't believe how a market leading company can fail this bad.

like the idea but about half the time there is no audio, and the is bulky and hard to deal with about half the size of the gopro.

Bad idea, bad design

1. Not water proof at all
2. Too big
3. Cables are too short
4. Only fit 2 prong mic adapter
5. Way over priced
You can shoot videos under water, rainy day and can attach to anywhere!!awesome!!!! ONLY if you dont have mic adapter.

Works Great BUT Could Be BETTER

The adapter definitely comes in handy for the external mic I use while racing. One issue is it’s a little too bulky. It would be more convinient if the usb-c was underneath the 3.5mm to conserve some space and make the adapter less rectangular. Example [o ()]. The other issue is the 90° usb-c. You don’t always need a 90, in my case the adapter came loose because the angle was awkward. Again it would be more convenient if there was just a straight usb-c and a slightly longer cable for the adapter. Other than those issues this is a great product!

It works but its too big with no real option to tether it to the camera. Please design an adapter that is smaller and attaches somewhere efficiently to the camera.
