I used to have a mice 3.5mm mic but this thing is too huge for e.g helmet

Disappointed that they came out with a new version of the Hero before providing an in line adapter solution. People have been complaining about the giant box since the Her 5 came out, and over a year later Gopro still isn't listening. There's a reason their stock is in the tank.

It does the job but it's massive in size ! How can they make a fantastic small camera and then completely drop the ball with audio ? The 3 internal microphones are mediocre at best and I feel like I'm being punished for trying to capture better audio .

I like the adapter just for the simple fact I can use my external microphone but I don’t like that the adapter is so big just for an adapter.
