doesn't work with Fusion 360.

tried it in a helicopter flight, the pilot often plugs it into standard gopros, so we tried it with the 360. video is great but audio didn't work. also using it corrupted the video files, wouldn't let me stop recording, even when i disconnected. i had to hard reboot the gopro. now i can use the video files on my iOS app but the fusion mac OSX app will not recognise the video files at all.

Bad design & too expensive

I purchased the Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter for my GoPro Hero 5. The price is expensive and the design is terrible. The cable is thick and not very flexible. And the adapter size?! Probably 1/3 of my GoPro size. I have a Rode smartLav+ microphone, so I had to purchase a Rode TRRS to TRS Adapter (more additional cost), therefore allowing it to work with the Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter. I didn't have any issues with audio, as I switched on my GoPro Hero 5 first and then pressed the record button. I can start to understand why GoPro as a company is starting to fail. Once third party competitors fine tune their action cameras, I will be saying goodbye to GoPro!

Tenho problemas com esse adaptador

Como utilizo minha câmera no capacete, costumo usar a função de apertar o botão gravar e iniciar a gopro. Quando utilizado esse comando de gravar com ela desliga o som não é captado. Notei que só funciona se você ligar a camera primeiramente e depois apertar a função gravar.
Sem falar do custo que é muito alto e acaba ficando inviável para colocar no capacete. A melhor camera até hoje é a hero 4

Dongle in the Wind

Unlike others I have not had issues with capturing audio. Of greater concern is how to mount this device not just to the GoPro but just about any housing that GoPro or any other manufacturer makes for the Hero 5. The cable is short, thick, and difficult to use because it must fold back on itself to attach the housing to a case using gum or cable ties. If it is not secured, then in high winds this box just blows around and creates its own noise. Mechanically, I could not imagine a design that could be worse than this adapter. It is almost as though the person who designed it has never seen a GoPro.

Pro Mic Adapter + Karma Grip doesn't work

Hi, I tried to use my Hero5 with my Karma Grip and my external mic ( which works very fine when directly connected to the camera) but it doesn't work !
I do interviews and wanted to put top high stable movie and very good sound quality but it's not possible ... Would it be possible to make it happen ?
That would be such a great update for all the people that make interviews in the world ! Isn't it ?

Waste of Money

It does not record most of the time. It disconnets many times and when u record video u came up with no sound. So shame. GoPro How can you do this to your valuble and loyal customers? This is a big waste of money.
