Run it with a fan behind it....

This thing heats up inside with a feckless fan that doesn't drive the air out. The temperature gets to whatever you set it and then it turns the heat off. Solution... put a fan behind it to drive the room's cold air into it and keep the thermostat from registering the bogus stuff.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An Excellent Vornado Offering

I have to admit that the first two Vornado heater units I purchased were not very good. This unit, though, is VERY GOOD. I love the quality, all-metal build. It's also very quiet on the low heat settings, and sounds soft and pleasant on the high heat option. Yes, the remote could be of higher quality, and can be a bit fickle in terms of function, but it works well enough. I hope this baby lasts a long time, because it's a great addition to my office. I'm a big fan of high quality items, and will typically pay more for something that is well built and will last. I hope this unit doesn't disappoint. So far so good!

This is by far the best space heater I’ve owned when it comes to consistently heating a closed room. While it doesn’t put out extremely hot air it successfully distributes it through the whole room and actually keeps the room at the set temperature. I own two of these and have had the first one for over 5 years with minimal issues. The only downside is the LED display for temperature can be very bright in a dark room. 10 out of 10 space heater
