I have 2 of these, oldest one from 2019. Both have malfunctions.
One would loose power, and intermittently respond to the power button. Took it apart and found the tip over switch had a blackened connector. I measured it with a multi meter to find it had failed open. There aren't any exact replacements available online, so I ordered a standard switch (16A 125VAC, KW3AT-16, Normally Closed). This replacement doesn't have the plunger actuator.
The second unit doesn't control the fan speed or heater properly. It runs the fan at low speed, making a humming sound from the motor and the heater goes into shutdown (display on, no fan even on the fan setting). I haven't taken it apart yet.

Powerful, well made heater in a small box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The heater works beautifully on high. It has a quiet, soft hum which is not at all annoying. In fact, I find it works as white noise making it easier for me to concentrate. On low heat there is a hum but I cannot hear the fan. The fan is a little louder when on the fan only setting. This unit warms up a 150 sq ft room very quickly on the high heat setting. On the low heat setting it doesn't heat the room well as well since the fan isn't pushing the air far. BUT it did a good job of maintaining the warmth once the room was warmed up using the high setting. Remote is great for people who might have a hard time getting up from a chair or bed to make adjustments to the settings. One big negative for me is that the cord is too short for the location I had hoped to use it. It is not recommended to plug this heater into an outlet that has other high wattage appliances on the same circuit. Because of this I had to plug it into a hall outlet outside the intended room. It just barely reached the doorway. The second location I would use it is the living room. There again I felt the cord was too short to get it away from furniture and curtains, as recommended. Also, the cord does get a little warm. This is normal for high wattage items since my 1500 watt professional iron does the same thing. I always unplug it when I walk away anyhow. The instructions have a lot of information about what type of outlets should be used or not and this is good. I called their customer service with some questions about this, they answered very quickly and were helpful. Lights on the same circuit dimmed very slightly when the heat kicked on. My 1500 watt iron does the same thing. Again, I don't leave that iron or this heater plugged in when not in use. Overall, for my use in the small bedroom of my townhouse, this unit was too big and powerful. I looked at the Vornado website..they have a "personal" sized one that is lower watts (uses less electricity) which would be better for my small townhouse.
Pros: 5 year warranty, A little louder on low heat, Adjustable, Attractive, Auto shut off if over heats, Auto shut off if tipped over, Compact, Digital Readout, Durable, Fan only is a little louder, but still fine, Good Power Output, Outside does not get hot, front only gets warm, Quiet, Quiet soft hum on high setting, Remote Control, Stable Base, Temperature Control, Warms 150 sf room fast on high setting, Well Built / Quality
Cons: Remote didn't always work from < 10 feet, Short Cord

Great heater

We love the compact heater and the ability to set a temperature at which we want the room so that the heater comes on and off as necessary. We also used this product in our garage while doing some work. It kept us nice and warm, while not being big and bulky and in the way.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Quiet, Stable Base

Best heater I've ever owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a house built in the 1950's and have the original furnace with the vents all on inside walls of the house. The bedrooms on one side of the house get really chilly when it's cold out. I usually buy a cheapie heater for my son's room. This heater is excellent! Much better than any other heater i've ever purchased. It stays cool to the touch and turns off if it tips over. Must have features in a kids room. It's very quiet. The times it has kicked on I didn't even know it. My favorite part is that I can enter the temperature I want the room to be and not worry that I'm going to walk in to a 90 degree room later because it adjusts according rather than running endlessly like the more inexpensive heaters. Save's money on my electric bill too since it's not running when it shouldn't be! I'm really loving it! Thinking of buying one for my finished basement which gets drafty! This heater also comes with a remote, which is really nice once you are settled in bed if you want it cooler or warmer!
Pros: Quiet, Stays cool to the touch, Turns off if tipped over

Excellent quality, questionable remote? I bought a number of Vornado heaters and fans over the years. They are very consistent, always hitting excellent build quality, and delivering on the promises of effective distributed heat. It’s no different, as the enclosure is attractive and excellently made, and it’s definitely cool to the touch. I was excited about the remote, as I use this for my garage office, so that I could turn it on through the window. The remote works… But only a range of about 2 feet. I thought this might be the battery so changed out the battery for a new one. alas, that did not help things. It’s not worth returning it over, but is a shame.

My complaint is that the remote control is very weak and half the time doesn’t work. Also the heat output is not really adequate to heat a bedroom. It seems under powered. O always thought Vornado could do better!

Annoying humming noise, and unresponsive remote control.

This heater has a constant annoying humming noise. Also remote control is very unresponsive even with a new battery. It was sent to me to replace a VH10 which was my original choice, but was returned with problem. I think I`m going to return this one also.
