Plug started to melt after 3 wks usage.

Now, I provided a review once before, but that was before it started to overheat my wall socket. I noticed it this weekend where the socket was looking a little charred. I unplugged the unit, and discovered that the cord had started to melt. This is the first one I have ever had to do that. I do have to agree with the previous reviews about the remote, it is rather flimsy. I don't even bother using it. I had received this heater to test out, for 2-3 weeks it was fantastic, then as I said, it started to melt at the plug in. So, I do recommend, but with a caveat, YOU MUST WATCH the cord. I will not be able to use this unit any longer because of this issue.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Stable Base
Cons: Remote Flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap remote. Mushy response to buttons being pushed on remote or unit. Sometimes they work most times multiple button pushes to get the unit to respond. Will be returning. For the price the thing should just flat out perform better. Instead of just being the worlds most expensive small room heater. Maybe I got a faulty unit?
Pros: Compact, Quiet
Cons: Flimsy, Lacks Adjustability

Best Heater I've ever purchaced !

I use this in my bedroom. I can get a great night sleep. I don't wake up sweating from constant heat or cold because temperature doesn't properly regulate. I would recommend it to anyone that was looking for a room heater. I do feel the products are a bit pricey but the products are excellent.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, I love that it has a thermostat, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base
Cons: None that I can see

Doesn't work right from day one

Got this unit for Christmas. It worked 2 days ,no issues. Then nothing worked. I have called the Company, no response each time. Remote is cheap and totally worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Powerful small heater, highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater really packs a punch! It's small in size and easy to move from room to room should you need to. I love that it is adjustable, you can adjust the temp, and just use the fan if you wish. It may be small but it heats quite a large area. I have an open dining room/kitchen that I have been using this heater in and it heats both rooms with ease. It's very quiet, not even a hum. I would purchase this heater over and over. I feel safe using it, the outside casing doesn't get hot to the touch and with 2 small children and 3 indoor dogs, that was a huge concern to me. Again, I would highly recommend this heater! I'd be looking at more in the future!

Nice, Compact Yet Powerful Heater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this heater, and after testing it out, I have to say it's a nice little heater. It's compact, so it doesn't take up a lot of space, and its shape is good for storing it away in smaller places. I turned the heater up to 90 just to see how it would do, and it started pumping out heat immediately. My room was toasty in no time! It's got a solid base, so you can't tip it over easily. Furthermore, the outside remained cool the entire time it was in use. Compared with other heaters, this does a solid job, and it seems to heat my room up a little faster than the ones I've used in the past. I hadn't heard of this particular heater before I tried this one out, but I'm pleased with it, and I'd definitely be willing to purchase Vornado products in the future. My only concerns are that the remote seems to be a little weak, and the heater is a little noisier than I would like, but it's no big deal.

Cons: Slightly noisy, Weak Remote

Doesnt work right

Bought one because my living room has vaulted ceilings the room is 15x15 it doesnt really heat or maintain the heat in room, display always says its 69 degress, i feel the fan doesnt have enough strenght, my thermostat aslo happens to be in my living room its set at 73 and runs non stop even with yhe vornado on, a cheap heater worls better as it also has the auto climate and sweeping motion and the fan on that blows like it should and warms the room better, kinda disappointed this is my first vornado and last not what i expected from vornado, poor performance, maybe they should have adjustable fan speed on these and stronger motors.

Cons: Lacks Power

Easy to use and good for small rooms

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little heater. It puts out a decent amount of heat, but it's best used in a smaller bedroom. We'll be using it in our children's bedroom this winter to save some money on heating bills. Pros: - Good heat for a small room - Safe, only small area is hot to touch and turns off when moved - Easy to use and control from base or with remote Cons: - Just not powerful enough for more than small bedroom or office
