Purchased two VMH300s. One had a noisy fan, the other had a bad hum. Swapped them out and the new ones are just fine. The fan move a good bit of air and makes a trouch of noise, so do not expect a "silent" heater. There is a touch of hum as well, but both the fan noise and hum essentially disappear after use for a few minutes (white noise does that to our ears and brain) so not a big deal. We use one heater in our great room and it helps to keep the overall temp comfortable while reducing the run time for our central heating system. Nice. We use the other one between the office and bedrooms for family when needed. It heats a 12'x12' room very quickly and maintains that temp nicely. Overall construction is very good as is the design. Nice to have metal rather than plastic, and yes - the metal body stays cool while in operation. It is very easy to use and quality is solid. Overall, very nice heaters and I'm glad we purchased them. I would give 5-stars if we didn't have QC issues with the first set. Can recommend.

This is our third Vornado space heater purchase. They are all still working perfectly. Because we have rooftop solar we are saving money by using these room heaters instead of our expensive gas furnace. They’re great!

I have used and loved Vornado fans for many years now. I was extremely dissatisfied with the poor quality of heaters being made. One died on arrival and the other only worked on high. Needless to say, those two went back. I tried another brand and it worked for 2 months. I was on the hunt again and decided to check out the Vornado site. I found this and read the specs and reviews on it. I ordered two of them and they are now working and actually heating up the bathroom. It had been notorious for being very hard to heat. The Vornado is doing a great job in my bedroom as well as the one in the bathroom. These heaters are somewhat heavy, but they are worth that weight for the quality of build. This one is definitely one to consider for those spaces that can use a reliable source of heat. I will assume that this heater will last for many years to come. Time will tell, but I am sure hoping it last longer than the others. LOL.
