I bought this as a holiday gift for our family, to use in an unfinished basement. It works quickly, is easy to move and difficult to tip over. It is perfect for spot usage- heat, turn off and unplug. We really like it.

Heats up the room very slowly but will eventually do the job. We are in the habit of switching it on 30 min before we spend any time in the room. Pushes out warm air doesn't get hot enough for you to feel an immediate difference. It is aesthetically pleasing.

Bought this unit to help "maintain" the overall temps in my den & kitchen areas of my house. Once temps are around 40 degrees outside -- my primary furnace works harder to keep the house warm. With the Vornado maintaining a constant warmth, the main furnace gets to relax a little when it gets below 40 degrees. The addition of the Vornado has translated into thousand$ saved over the last 3 years in fuel costs alone. In our present economy -- this Vornado is an investment.
