Best Coffee Maker for RV

My old Spacemaker (from early '90s) was knocking on death's door when I purchased this one to replace it.
Things I like:
It's looks much more stylish and takes up less space than the old one. Programmable Auto-start Pause-n-serve SPACEMAKER (Ideal design for motorhome) Does not leak coffee Thermal Carafe seems to keep coffee piping hot for at least 2 hours.
Three things to be aware of:
First, as this is a coffee maker, there tends to be quite a bit of steam and therefore some moisture build up from the unit. This means that "IT WILL DRIP" on your counter, so make sure you plan for this ahead of time. It's just a few water drops, until you remove the brew basket, then quite a few more water drops.
Second, the thermal carafe design is short (good) but long (bad) and the handle extends pretty far back. This makes it difficult for someone without strong wrists to use one-handed, as the bulk of the weight is pretty far away from the handle.
Third, the water reservoir is graduated, but the makings seem rather inaccurate. If I fill the reservoir to the 8-cup (Max fill) mark, it only brews about 2/3 of a pot. So I now measure my water by first filling the Carafe, then pouring from the carafe into the reservoir, so I can make a full pot of coffee. When I do this, the water level in the reservoir reads rather high above the "Max Fill" line, but works just fine.
Conclusion: Since my application (Motorhome) is tight on space and I wanted an under-the-cabinet design, this unit fits perfectly. Although it has a couple quirks, it works beautifully and hopefully will last for years to come. If our next motorhome does not already have one, I will likely buy one of these again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your Black+Decker SCM2000BD. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced with your coffee maker, however, the issue you describe in your review is something that could be addressed by descaling your coffee maker with vinegar. A link to the use and care manual for this model is available on our product page, and descaling instructions are located on page 13. Here is a link to our product page:

My husband bought our coffee maker over the internet about 2 weeks ago.we did have minor fitting problems in the old spo but they were easily taken care of. It makes very good coffee but when you pull the pot out to pour water leaks out onto the table even when it's done. Could it be from that steam? It's very annoying when it leaks on the table. We were also hoping for a none drip spout on the coffee pot.when you close the top,I would assume it should stop the coffee from coming out but it just keeps dribbling while your righting the pot up.
