This clock radio isn't worth the effort.

I purchased this clock radio for Christmas, 2015. After about 6 months into it, the sound just went out. The radio still displays the time & charges my cell phone. But at least 1-2 times a week, I lose audio for HOURS at a time. Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Can't set the alarm-Buzz, FM or BT, volume ???? Seriously?????

You have GOT to be kidding me!
Tech support confirmed it. I read other reviews that the alarm is too loud. But mine is too faint. The volume "ascends" but mine never gets loud enough to wake me up unless I am with in two feet (600 mm).
Clunky to program, the software not great. Put a couple more switches or something. The folded road map style user manual is a pain to use.
And how about a display dimmer? Mine is Nuclear bright.
Pros: the bt easy to setup., speaker sounds great!!!!, i like the dock. works great! several cable types
Cons: not well "thought out".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't know how so many of these other reviews are so bad! I love this thing! It sounds pretty decent for its size, the bluetooth feature is handy, and charging works just fine for my iPhone 6. You do have to supply your own cable if you plan on charging an iPod or iPhone, but that's not really an issue. It's a cost-effective way to sell this item without inflating the price.
I've had virtually no issues. No high-pitched noise from the plug, no tinny sound, and no charging issues. Those folks should have contacted Philips or the place they bought the product from (I got mine from Walgreens). I use it as a charging base station while waiting for Lyft driving requests, and it's perfect for that.
My favorite feature is the gentle wake of the buzzer. The first minute is extremely quiet, however I still usually wake up to it. If I don't, when it increases volume for the second minute I always wake up. I love waking up gently and easily. I hope more people can give reviews of their good experiences. I've had a 100% positive experience with this product and I'm shocked to see the negative reviews. I'm very pleased with this product and would buy it again in a heartbeat and even maybe gift one to a friend.
Pros: gentle wake, bluetooth distance is good, innovative dock, sounds good

Don't bother buying this or probably any alarm clock from Philips. Bought this for my son as his 'step up' alarm clock for school from a toy battery operated clock. Should have kept the toy one. The alarm that is supposed to start soft and get louder. goes from non-existent to a whisper. No wonder my son wasn't waking up to his alarm. Worked for 4 months and now is quieter than a mouse. Really looking forward to spending more money on an alarm clock that actually wakes you up. This thing is garbage
Pros: it came with all the parts. they got that right.
Cons: no alarm volume., cheap wonky phone or music player adapters, did i mention the alarm volume?

All features function; radio volume is very loud so complaints indicate incorrect setup for alarm. Instructions are pictures so you have to study them a bit. Buttons do double duty but are clearly marked. I'm getting another one for myself.
Pros: compact decent sound
Cons: minimalist buttons are a bit confusing

The item is attractive enough but has an awkward design, at least for use with an Android phone. My phone had to be docked sideways, and the docking/undocking was not as smooth as one would hope. (Note: my clock was a re-boxed item, so I had to access instructions online.) I connected my phone to the clock via bluetooth and when I received a call, found the caller's voice coming through the clock speaker to sound very tinny and distant. I wasn't sure whether there was an integrated mic in the clock, and couldn't see how to quickly disconnect the bluetooth. Not a very smooth experience. I think some more usability testing is in order for the Philips designers.

Nothing works. Tomorrow morning, after months of frustration, I am going to take this pile of electronic garbage and run it over with my car. Do not waste your money.
