Functional Hood

Functional Hood. Installation was a pain. Getting it to exhaust through the vent was more difficult than it should be. Exhaust to vent should be the default setup rather than requiring a part to be added. Fan is excessively noisy!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For loud and abnormal noises, be sure the right duct size is used. Smaller ducts can cause irregular airflow sounds.

Seems powerful

Air intake seems powerful, lights are bright but slightly too far apart. Disappointed it did not come with the charcoal filter required for recurculating feature-hard to find & now on backorder so pointless to use fan.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We know issues like that may be an inconvenience.
The charcoal filter is available under part number JXCF55. That is currently in stock on our Parts website here: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/JXCF55?SpecType=SpecType . Our Parts department can also be called at 1-877-959-8688, if you prefer.
Our Design team will be informed of your thoughts on the filter being included, as well as your concern over the lights; we value your insights, as we like to know what our consumers think of the model. Warranty Replacement

I received this product because it was a warranty replacement. I love the look and features. However, the fan is noisy (especially when it's on high). The lights are bright and illuminates the cooktop.
