AMAZING!

Replaced an old microwave over the stove with this, and the difference is absolutely awesome! LED lighting on this thing works better than the can lights in my kitchen (needless to say, found a bit of dirt I couldn't see before). I also like having the space to cook between the stovetop and the hood - before it was difficult to make any soups or pastas because the pots were almost too big for the space. Filter works great, too. You can install this to recirculate if needed, but have to buy charcoal filters separately.

This is a great addition to my newer stainless steel appliances. The fan has a high and low setting, the higher really pulls the heat and cooking vapors away from the cook. Low setting fairly quiet, a little louder as expected on the high.
Single on/off setting for the dual LED lamps, one on each side. (Shines more to the outside edges of the stove.)
I added the carbon filter between the fan and the metal grease filters, as I have it as supplied by the factory in the non-vented mode.

I am loving this unit! The fan motor is powerful to actually draw up steam away from cabinets and wall. The LED lights are awesome!

Cheap hardware. Looks good. Makes a lot of noise. It now stops intermittently. It will probably go back.

Powerful!

This hood is more powerful and effective than my prior range. However, it is a little loud. The lights in the hood are at the very front and are quite bright, but in my opinion they might be more effective if placed a little farther back on the hood.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Quality, cheaply built. I'm disappointed GE

I ordered the first one in Oct came in damaged. Second came in damaged. Third had no dents but after installed, turned on and fan is hitting housing and light bulbs were blown. Had to take it apart to straighten thin motor mounting tabs that were bent making the fan hit the housing. Wow!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The lights also work great. The fan totally different story. The first one banged against the housing and was insanely loud. Then next one was damaged out of the box so the installers wouldn't even put it in. My 3rd one was installed today. It is by far the worst one yet. It only works on high. And don't even think about trying to have a conversation while the fan is on, at least for the first few minutes while it is still running. It's garbage, but it matches the rest of our new appliances, so we'll keep trying. 4 months in and we will see where it all ends up. GE, step up and correct this mess.
